Amazing lake view home with fireplace, W/D, kitchen, grill, balcony, and deck

This is our third time staying at this cabin. It is beautiful, clean, comfortable and you have to stay here to see the views for yourself. I can’t think of anything the hosts have left out for the most perfect stay. Highly recommended!

This cabin was top of the line comfort, quiet, beautiful, and the views it has! Especially the view of the lake, WOW!!! This cabin provided everything we needed and more from cooking , laundry supplies to hygiene. My grandson, who is 10, enjoyed fishing and paddle boarding (both were also supplied) so much, he did not want to leave the lake. He also got to see a bear crossing the road and get a picture. He got so excited seeing the bear. We wished we could have stayed longer. Looking forwarded to going back!

What a beautiful home with views for days. It was immaculate and felt very new. The furniture and beds were comfortable. My Granddaughter said “I want to move here.” And she didn’t mean move to Colorado or even Vallecito Lake, she meant THIS house! :)

Beautiful lake views. Recently built so very up to date with that cozy cabin mountain look and feel still. Definitely recommended.

We loved the views from the house and deck. The house was spotless. We enjoyed how quiet the area was. The rooms and furniture were nice. Responses to any inquiries were timely. Restaurants nearby were very good, the Reservoir was close by and a couple of nice hiking trails close by as well. The town of Durango was a beautiful 40 minute drive away. A very comfortable stay.

Home was very clean except for the ant problems. Great location however not close enough to walk to the lake. Pictures may be a little deceptive on closeness to the lake. Great place to unwind and spend time overlooking the lake on the deck with a coffee or evening drink spending time with family.

Easy access to a high mountain lake. Well maintained property. Privacy.

The name of property says it all. We had wonderful time.

A Special Place Cabin was immaculate! My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in June 2024. The cabin had fantastic views of Vallecito Lake and very convenient to eateries. Will definitely consider staying at A Special Place again if in the Durango area.

We stayed with family at this beautiful home the week after Memorial Day. The home was spotless, stocked with supplies (including a variety of coffee), top shelf linens and very comfortable beds. Our only disappointment was a confusing (for us) TV remote. The variety of programing was great but we don't have the same satellite/cable system that serves that area, so some sort of guide would have been helpful for us senior citizens. Eventually we figured it out but since others may not find it confusing, we don't want to give this rental any less than an absolute stellar review. We did contact Vacasa with simple questions, and they were immediately accessible, pleasant and helpful. The home was exactly as photographed and described. Beautiful. We highly recommend this rental and we stay at VRBOs often. 10+++++
