Nice space that was very kid friendly

Great location! We were able to walk nearly everywhere we wanted to go. Very hospitable owners. Lots of little extra touches to make the stay easy and comfortable.

it’s important to share a few observations that others may want to consider:No air conditioningThe property does not have AC. We checked in around 4:30 PM, and the indoor temperature was 79F. It didn’t begin to cool down until around 9 PM. If you’re sensitive, it’s best to plan activities outside during those hours.Parking situationThe listing mentions that “parking is available,” but this is somewhat misleading. All parking is public and first-come, first-served. We arrived on a Sunday and couldn’t find street parking within a three-block radius. We also couldn’t use the driveway to unload because another vehicle was parked there. For us, convenient parking is a major factor, so this was a significant drawback.Stairs / accessibilityThe unit is located on the second floor, which wasn’t clearly stated in the description. There are approximately 16–18 steps to access it. This could be challenging for families with small children, anyone with injuries, or guests carrying heavy luggage.Interior conditionThe interior feels quite outdated. Rusty sink and a broken doorknob.The TV is relatively small (around 34 inches) considering the viewing distance of about 15 —not a major issue, but something to keep in mind if that matters to you.Outdoor spaceThe outdoor patitio is nice, but it lacks privacy. It is very close to the owners’ area, which made us feel like we needed to keep quiet to avoid disturbing them.LocationThe location is excellent and close to many attractions

Great host, check in and checkout was very smooth and instructions clearly communicated. The host has a a lot of extras available, there wasn’t anything we didn’t have that we wanted. Entire stay and experience was excellent.

The location was superb, with easy access to the boardwalk, wharf, beaches and coffee shops. Exploring the area was incredibly convenient and enjoyable. Will definitely stay here again.

We had a fantastic stay at this rental - great amenities (beach accessories, treats/smore's making kit, outdoor fire pit), ideal location (5-10 min walk to beach/boardwalk and downtown Santa Cruz in safe neighborhood), great hosts (friendly and responsive, provided excellent recommendations on restaurants/things to do). Hands down one of the best stays we've had! Highly recommend!

This quaint little carriage house was the perfect set up for 2 adults and 2 teen boys. The location was excellent being walking distance to Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and the beach and the river trail. The house is comfortable and fully stocked with everything that we needed and more. The garage is loaded with everything needed for a beach day and the thoughtful basket of smores ingredients created a fun night by the firepit. A definite recommendation!

We added this to the end of our Yosemite adventure as a little R&R before heading home, and thought the kids would love some beach time. This place exceeded expectations! The carriage house is very clean and has so many nice little touches. This place is perfect for kids- ours really loved the boogie boards at the beach and the games when we were relaxing. It’s a nice, short walk to the beach and boardwalk area. The beds are very comfortable, and the temperature was perfect for opening a window at night. The owner is very kind and accommodating. This is definitely a place I would return, but spend a whole week next time.

A beautiful home and location. The accomodations suited all our needs. The only negative was the shower pressure but honestly wasn't that big of a deal. We would definitely stay here again!

It's a wonderfully cute property with everything our family needed for a great trip to Santa Cruz Monterey! And the location couldn't be more convenient to the Santa Cruz sights!

Nice place in a nice town

The property was well kept, stocked with everything we needed (and more), and was quiet, safe and secure. The owners were friendly and helpful. Only a short walk into downtown and to the boardwalk. We all had a great time!

The apartment was clean, nicely decorated, and well stocked. The beds were very comfortable and the shower nice and hot. They were generous with a laundry room, fire pit, and surf boards although we didn’t use any. The street parking was not a problem. There are steep stairs to the apartment but they were well lit and a good hand rail (my mother who is 83 was with me). The location near the boardwalk was great for morning walks.
