Great place to stay

This is a beautiful home very close to the beach with everything you need to enjoy the beach. Cathy is a very attentive host. I highly recommentd.

Great stay. House was clean, hosts have just about everything you could need available in a house rental to make your stay like home. Short walk to ocean and beaches and a quiet location too.

Really clean, awesome location, clean hot tub and it worked. The host Cathy is a very nice host she lives behind the house, she takes good care of the property.

This place is just wonderful. The hosts are amazing and lovely and took good care of us. The house is beautifully decorated and you just feel like home. It is located 5 minutes from the beach and I would come back any time.

We had an amazing stay at Cathy and Andre’s beach house. The space was clean and well appointed, the yard gorgeous and enjoyably peaceful (the owners have a green thumb—evidenced by the amazing orchids inside. I’ve never seen such a beautiful orchid as the one on the dining table!) The hot tub is always a MUST when we do our writing retreats and this was nicely situated. We enjoyed the proximity to beach and town. Dinner at Shadowbrook one night was also a treat. We struggled a bit with the WiFi connection with three writers accessing computers, but once we moved the extender to the window we had better luck! Loved the house history photo album showing the story of the family and how they made it their home. Would definitely stay again.

This is our second time to stay, and we loved it once again! The house is in a perfect location to the beach, very quick walk. Also a short drive to the boardwalk. The home is clean and bright and open and fit our family. We will be back.

We had a wonderful stay at the house! So comfy, bright and sunny with all the windows. Comfy couch, king bed, and well stocked kitchen. Plus only a 3 minute walk to the ocean! We would definitely stay here again.

My family and I had a great experience staying in Cathy and Andre's home. The home was clean and quiet, with an impressive display of indoor/outdoor plants, and an assortment of local bird species that seemed to be enjoying the outdoor feeder and yard. We'd definitely book again during a future trip to Santa Cruz!

My wife and I loved the house. Block and a half from the beach. Sunset every night and lower tide walks on the beach. The house had everything we needed. Every little touch is thought out by the owner. The hot tub was great to use a few times a day/night. Lovely quiet neighborhood with peaceful bird sounds most of the day. The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay. Very comfy living room and bed too. We will rent this house again if it’s available for another stay when we get down that way. It’s a great house for a family with a kid or two or just a couple on a getaway vacation. Very safe and quiet neighborhood walks too in either direction.

We loved this house! The front yard is amazing and very relaxing. We enjoyed the hot tub and hammock in the backyard. The location is great and a short walk from the beach. The house was exactly how the pictures looked. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location near the beach and easy drive to restaurants and grocery stores. Cathy was easy to communicate with and offered earlier check-in when the cleaners were done. Our family had a wonderful time with our stay.

This was a beautifully decorated home. It was incredibly well appointed and space to hang towels, just do well thought out to be easy and pleasing for any guest. There were so many wetsuits of all sizes and games and books. Very comfortable sleeping. Probably one of the best I’ve ever stayed at. So close to the beach and lovely walking. I would come back!

Lovely home

Very comfortable stay for our family trip. Lots of games to try and the kids loved reading in the hammock. Short walk to the beach where we saw lots of wildlife and folks enjoying the surf. Convenient to everything we wanted to do. Would definitely stay here again!

Cathy's beach cottage is a perfect place to stay in Santa Cruz. Easy walk or bike to the local beaches. She provides a few bikes/beach chairs/boogey boards which is so nice. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to enjoy a relaxing stay. Cathy had great recommendations for things to do and was easy to get in touch with. The property is really beautiful. We didn't want to leave!!!!!

Without even asking the host reached out to let us know the property would be available early to us. We didn’t end up coming in early but it was a nice surprise that we could have since we were traveling with 3 young kids. Check in/out are super simple, basically just walk in and out. Very quiet neighborhood with lots of people walking their dogs etc and close to the beach.

Cathy’s home is the best rental we have stayed at, and she is very thoughtful to have things available for children and families to use. She was very communicative and willing to assist, and the home exceeded what the listing described it as! I hope to be able to return in the future.

Very nicely decorated and so many beautiful flowers surround the property. Communication with Cathy was very easy and she responded right away. We had everything we could possibly need for our stay. Nice quiet neighborhood and close to the beach and other things you may want to do in the area! Would highly recommend this property to anyone coming to Santa Cruz!!

I am actually a longtime resident of the area and wanted to treat myself to a staycation for my birthday, so I knew that the house was in a great area near my fav beach. (Walking distance!) The house was perfect, so comfortable with a great, well-stocked kitchen and cool extras like bicycles, movies and games, boogie boards and wetsuits and more. The hosts were so nice and easy to communicate with and ready to help in any way!Now I know where my visiting family can sta!

Cathy’s home was perfect for our little family. We enjoyed the hot tub, walking to the ocean staircase, and little surprise visits from Sam. The house is well-stocked and very clean. We would love to visit again.

There's always something, about every place we've stayed. But this place - communicative/friendly owners, clean, amenities, great location - we definitely plan to stay again!

This cottage was perfect in every way…cleanliness, location, beautiful space indoors and out, and it was stocked with everything we needed. The host was easy to reach if I had a question and was more than gracious in her responses. I will definitely be back!

The combination of the holiday decorations, well equipped/well designed kitchen, sizable dining room table and comfortable couches, chairs beds made for another wonderful family Christmas. The birds, the fresh flowers in and out plus the location topped off the experience. Exceptionally homey

We stayed right before the Christmas holiday. The house was decorated with a tree, Christmas lights and cute decorations. Close to the beach and to downtown. Looking forward to staying again.

Great house & location Would love to stay here again

My son had his heart set on going to Santa Cruz to celebrate his 12th birthday. This home was absolutely the perfect place to do that! The house and the location were perfect. Just a short walk to the local beach, and the owners provided everything you could need for a fun day there: boogie boards, wetsuits, sand, toys, etc. The house itself was stocked with everything you might need as well. Owners communicated very well and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We had a fantastic time, everything was perfect. We will absolutely return for another visit in the future!

This home is perfect and provided the most relaxing vacation. The neighborhood was incredible as well, peaceful & quiet, minutes away from an ocean view, and quick access to everything we needed. This stay was amazing! We came to celebrate my daughter’s 20th bday in Santa Cruz. The home was clean, cozy, furnished & decorated so beautifully! We enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you Cathy & Andre for having everything a guest would need & most importantly for being great hosts! Very much appreciated!

If I could dream of a home near the beach, this would check all the boxes. You are welcomed through the garden gate with a beautiful flowers and a garden filled with hummingbirds and butterflies. The home is warmly decorated in a beach theme and appointed with everything you need for your stay. Cathy thought of everything! There is a big updated kitchen, wood burning fire place and firepit on the patio. Bikes, wetsuits and board games in the garage. Each room had amazing plants or fresh flowers, that added a touch of zen. A short walk down the block and you are at the stairs to the beach, the first day we spotted whales, seals and an otter. A friendly neighborhood with an established quiet zone starting at 10 p.m. We were very relaxed and slept soundly during the quiet nights. Cathy provided helpful communications and updates as needed. The location is a short distance to the Boardwalk, Seabright, Twin Lakes, Pleasure Point and Capitola, where we attended the Arts & Wine Festival. We look forward to returning for another relaxing weekend or with our kids and grandkids to explore more!
