There are two unique single-family homes on this lot. The front home is an historic bungalow. The back home is a 2-story beach home. The homes share an adjoining wall with housekeeping facilities and storage in between. There is also additional street parking with specific times posted for cleaning. Please be aware of this and read all posted street signs. There is a paid parking lot about 6 properties down (no overnight parking allowed). Hours are posted at the lot.brbrThe street level of our home also includes a front ocean view patio, complete mother-in-law suite which includes a remodeled kitchen, remodeled bathroom, game room with pool table, dining table, living room with large flat screen television and DVD player, large bedroom with (2) queen pillow top beds, television, outdoor patio with counter height patio table, fire pit (fire column) and barbecue.brbrThe second level (main living area of our home) is very spacious with a large open floor plan. We completed a major outdoor remodel in May 2023. Recent updates through out our home include new enlarge ocean front balcony, new patio cover, new 15’ wide x 8’ tall sliding glass doors that pocket behind the new fireplace ( giving you a very large indoor/outdoor space between the living room and balcony area). new granite counter tops, new sinks, new faucets, and (3) remodeled bathrooms.brbrFrom gourmet chefs to beginner cooks, the large comfortable kitchen can accommodate anyone for easy meal preparations. Our kitchen has granite counter tops and has an abundant supply of dishes. Also included are KitchenAid stainless steel appliances, many small kitchen appliances including vegetable steamer, crock pot, pressure cooker, (2) griddles, (2) waffle makers, (2) coffee makers (Keurig and Mr Coffee), toasters, toaster oven, blenders, Temptations Bake Ware and so much more.brbrThe beautiful wood dining table seats 8 people comfortably, plus 4-7 people at the kitchen counter (additional bar height chairs downstairs) and a bar height table that sits an additional 4 people. A large 65 television mounted above the fire place includes Cox Cable and a DVD player. Five windows and 8’ tall x 15’ wide slider allows for incredible ocean views from inside the house and plenty of natural light. brbrThe oceanfront balcony has a Genesis II gas barbecue for easy grilling for large groups, and a dining table that seats up to 6 people. There is also a love seat, coffee table, (2) chairs, and fire pit (fire column) for your enjoyment. You can also sit and eat at the bar rails giving you an amazing ocean view. brbrThe balcony is a wonderful place to relax, read a book and enjoy the beautiful views (views of Oceanside Pier to La Jolla). Enjoy a hot cup of coffee in the morning or a nice glass of wine in the evening listening to and watching the beautiful waves and surfers. We have seen multiple dolphins from our balcony and have seen whales pass during whale season. brbrThe large Master bedroom retreat has a California King bed with double sided pillow top mattress, remodeled master bath with a double shower head walk in shower, jacuzzi tub, large walk in cedar closet and dual vanity sinks. There is a large television mounted on the wall. In the corner of the bedroom is a comfy reclining leather chair to curl up in and read a book. The Master bedroom also has a small private partial ocean view balcony with 2 bar height chairs and patio table.brbrThe main floor also features two additional bedrooms. One bedroom has a queen bed with pillow top mattress, (2) night stands, dresser, large closet, television and is decorated to welcome and relax any guests. The other bedroom is decorated in abeach theme decor and also has a queen bed with double sided pillow top mattress, large walk in cedar closet, (2) night stands, television and a large dresser. There is a large bathroom in between bedrooms #2 and 3 with a walk in shower which was completely renovated.brbrThere is also a half bath on the main floor and we have (2) twin size roll-a-way-beds which can be placed throughout the home.brbrAdditional amenities include hi speed wireless internet, large DVD library, lots of books (for all ages), games, puzzles, beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, coolers and wagon. Sea World and Old Town San Diego is about a 40 minute drive. Mexico is about a 1 hour drive. .brbrWe take extreme pride in our beach house. We bought it in October 2017 and strive to give our guests the best vacation possible. Since the house is located so close to the water, City of Oceanside has placed large rock boulders between The Strand and beach to help protect the houses during High Tides. (Small staircase for beach access is two houses over)brbrThe beach size in front of the house depends on mother nature. Sometimes the beach is large and life guards drive their trucks on the beach, people lay out or play games on the beach. Other times the tide is high and the water comes all the way to the top of the rocks. We can not guarantee the beach size during your stay. It's all up to Mother Nature. There is always a nice sandy beach approximately 5-7 minute walk towards the pier.brbrOur house is located next to full time neighbors. Absolutely no parties or events at the house. Please be considerate and keep the noise down. If you have excessive noise, you will be asked to leave. Pet, one pet per fee, with a prepaid cleaning fee for animal hair and dander removal. Pets can not be left alone in any room or any part of the house if owner is not there or is sleeping. Animal must be with you or in a kennel when you are sleeping or when you leave the home. Animals panic and cause damage if you leave them in the home for just a few minutes. No pets on beds or furniture at any time. Please bring pet bedding and kennel. Only one pet per stay or pet fee and must be under 15 lbs. No large dogs.brbr14. Terms and conditions: The terms of this agreement are: no refunds. There are no refunds, for any reason. Guest further agrees once any payment to retain the home has been made, the terms of this contract specify no refunds. You may want to toss a beach towel on the sofas if you think you might stain them.brbr17. This is a beach community with all the typical nearby activities, close proximity of homes and people. We can not predict or control if there will be noise from nearby. That includes any and all civic, street, tree trimming, gardeners, repairs or construction in the nearby vicinity. Please note, even the waves can sometimes be loud.brbr18. The home, as is all beach homes, is run off a sump pump. Do not place anything besides toilet tissue in the toilets, even items labeled as flushable are NOT, and plumbing will stop working. Food scraps should be placed in trash can and not down the drain.brbr19. We will take out your trash cans each week.brbr20. There is a street sweeper the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month. Rules are different for each side of the street. Tickets are expensive, so pay attention and do not block the street sweeper. brbr21. No flushable wipes or feminine hygiene products can be placed in toilets. Please use trash cans.brbrbr23. No electric car charging onsite.
