If you like animals and natur, this is the perfect place. The cabin is set up with a full kitchen and bathroom as well as a wood stove, to make the cabin experience perfect. The cabin has a queen size bed in the loft and a pull out couch in the living area.brExplore the animals on the ranch, go for hikes (Trans Canada Trail is just 500m away), go bird watching or just enjoy the peace and quiet. The perfect place to fill up your energy. And not forget to mention, amazing night sky for stargazing! brbrThe spacebrOur Homestead is secluded in the forest on the foot of Sooke Lake Watershed. We are 4km off the paved road, on a gravel road, tucked away in the forest. The cabin offers a queen size bed in the loft and a pull out couch in the living area. The cozy living area invites you to relax with a book by the wood stove. And the deck is perfect to enjoy your coffee in the morning and watch all the animals waking up. The cabin has a full kitchen and indoor plumbing.brbrWe open our ranch for our guests, so you are welcome to explore everything and say hello to all the animals. Keep in mind, we are a working ranch. Therefore we ask you to specially watch your children as there is equipment around.brbrWe do also offer trail rides, horse experiences and goat hikes in small private groups. Enjoy our beautiful nature in company of a great and fun animal.

The Little River Cabin

Welcome to the Little River Cabin!brbrOur charming and cozy cabin sleeps six people. The bedroom on the main floor has a queen bed and a TV (Apple Box). The upstairs loft, accessed by ladder stairs, is open and airy and offers views of the forest and sounds of the Koksilah River. There are two queen beds, a living area with a couch and chairs, TV (Apple Box), and a small workspace.brbrThe full bathroom on the main floor has heated floors, a corner shower and basic bath products. The kitchen has a gas range, full size fridge, coffee maker, microwave, cooking supplies, and a filtered drinking water tap. The dining area seats six, and the comfy main floor living area features a wood burning stove.brbrThe front of the cabin has a covered porch, perfect for enjoying the beautiful morning sun while relaxing in our adirondack chairs or hammock. At the back of the cabin, through french doors off of the kitchen and dining area, are three decks overlooking the forest that slopes down to the river. On the first deck, is a barbeque, fire table and outdoor furniture which you can enjoy as you take in the view and the soothing sounds of the river. The second deck features a picnic table for outdoor dining. The third deck is ideal for yoga, or perhaps a quiet spot to enjoy coffee or a glass of wine.brbrAlthough the cabin does not have A/C, it stays cool because of the tree cover and proximity to the river.brbrA 2 minute walk from our cabin takes you right down to the swimming hole. The Kinsol Trestle is about a 20 minute walk, and if you prefer a longer hike, you can continue on for miles along well-groomed paths. For a beach experience, Shawnigan Lake is a 10 minute drive. A walk along the ocean, kayaking or whale watching is as close as a 20 minute drive. Victoria is a 40 minute drive away.brbrThe Little River Cabin awaits you.

Perched above the westside of Lake Shawnigan you will find this lovely bright, spacious home with splendid views of the lake and Mt. Baldy. Walk down the path two sitting areas over looking the dock and swim area and continue on to a large dock reaching out into deep enough water for any boat on the lake. The dock is complete with covered boat parking stall.brbrThis home boasts three bedrooms each with a full bathroom, one of each located on the main entry level with only one small step into home for ease of access. The master suite which is located on the lower level is splashed with a beautiful sunrise from across the lake, thru the double doors every morning and has a queen bed, walk-in-closet and private ensuite with heated tile floor, bathtub and separate shower. Also on the lower is a large family room and third bedroom with bunkbed and single bed for up to three to sleep.brbrThe home has all the modern amenities you would expect from a high end home, including granite countertops, cable tv internet, netflixs access thru smart tv's, dvd player, full laundry, gas fireplace, and wood stove. There is also a paddle boat and kayak for water play.brbrAll rentals to be paid by credit card, full cost of booking and cleaning fee.
