Of course the lake is the best summer adventure, but fall, winter, and spring can be the perfect time for hiking, off-roading, campfires, wildlife viewing, family holiday gatherings, etc. That being said, we do not control the water levels and cannot guarantee you will be able to access the house by water. Unless there is a drought, there is generally 15-20' of water from early May through mid to late August. brbrMinimum age for the primary renter must be 28 or older. brbrRules: br Per HOA rules, there is no parking at the road. All vehicles and boat trailers must be parked down at the house. The driveway is steep but no need to be afraid of it, vehicles of all shapes and sizes are able to navigate it safely.br No parties or excessive noise. br No pets or emotional support animals allowed. Exceptions made on a case by case basis for registered service animals for physical disabilities such as blindness.br Please respect and care for our home as if it were your own. We love sharing it with you, but it takes TLC on everyone's part to keep it maintained for future guests. br Beginning in 2025, most reservations from Memorial Day through Labor Day will be 7 night minimum with check in/out on Fridays. A covered 10x24 slip is reserved for your boat and another boat can be tied to the side of the dock. There is a kayak dock with easy entry ramp and three kayaks available for your use.brbrThe large decks feature comfortable furniture, a gas fire pit, a Blackstone grill and an amazing outdoor shower (trust me, nobody will want to shower inside).brbrNorris Lake is a flooded valley. There are about 100 stairs from the house to the dock. The stairs were replaced in the fall of 2023. They are sturdy with railings on both sides and several landings. We do provide our guests with fresh linens and towels, one for each guest. We are located near two marinas (Twin Cove Marina - 6 minute boat ride and Mountain Lake Marina - 3 minute boat ride away). With more than 20 marinas on Norris Lake you will have a full day's adventure exploring all Norris has to offer. The house is located right across from a public boat launch in a quiet and serene small cove. The lake and public boat launch is just a short walk across the road where you can put your boat or one of the two kayaks we have provided. After a long day on the lake, if you’re wanting to grab dinner, many restaurants and stores are just a 15 min drive away. If you’re wanting to relax instead, cook a nice meal at the house and enjoy a quiet evening watching a game on the outdoor 55 inch TV under the covered patio or by the gas fire pit.
