The view is pure magic! Just 20 minutes from Bristol and the TriCities Regional Airport. With 2 bedrooms, a loft with a full size bed and a sofa bed and 2.5 bathrooms - the cabin has been thoughtfully positioned to achieve a downriver view of the Watauga River. The view is visible from the front doors to the massive 16 foot stretch of sliding glass back doors. The house is tastefully furnished in an upscale mountain house fashion with custom log and stone accents throughout the interior and exterior of the home. The kitchen features granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and a huge island that seats 4, plus another 6 at the dining room table. This home follows the open concept plan with kitchen, living, and dining open to one another all with comfortable well maintained furnishings. The master bedroom suite is also located downstairs with king-size bed, walk-in closet and full master bath with both jacuzzi and walk-in shower. The upstairs features a large loft living room with full size bed tucked away in the dormer area and sofa bed. There is a 2nd bedroom with adjoining 3 piece bathroom and a small office tucked away in the back of the loft when you just need to get a little work done. There is a full size bed in the loft as mentioned as well as 2 power home theater chairs. There is a large projector screen and projector Roku (Netflix) in the loft. There is a 42 inch TV in the upstairs second bedroom with Roku (Netflix) and a 46 TV in the Living Room equipped with a Roku device. The large 40' x 16' porch is equipped with rocking chairs, outdoor dining table and chairs and a hammock plus the incredible view of the river. Watch the fly fisherman and kayakers navigate their way over the shoals. There is a walkway to the river plus a room size flat rock to fish from on this beautiful trophy section of the river. This cabin has lots of steps and stairs and is NOT recommended for you or those in your party that are not steady on their feet. This cabin serves the guest looking for a more quiet retreat. This house is not recommended for children or pets due to the depth and swiftness of the river at this location but pets are considered and older children are ok - just contact owner. This cabin is within walking distance of the Watauga River Cabins and directly across the river from the Watauga River Lodge and Outfitter. The caretaker lives on the property in a separate dwelling near the road and will verify number and ages of guests for safety concerns as well as the terms of the rental agreement. This cabin (Sycamore Cabin) is part of our 'rustic lodge'. Our 'rustic lodge' is located on the banks of the beautiful Watauga River, halfway between Johnson City and Elizabethton. The lodge was designed to resemble a horse barn and sits on 5 acres with over 600 feet of river frontage and consists of 3 cabins.brbrThe downstairs Sycamore cabin has over 800 square feet of living space. The cabin has a queen bed and full bath downstairs. In the loft there is a queen bed, two single beds and a half bath. brbrAll linens are included -- all you have to do is pick up some food and bring your personal items -- all other items will be provided for you! The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, cookware, toaster, coffee maker and microwave. brbrThe cabin has heat/air conditioning, ceiling fan, flat screen satellite TV (Direct TV is provider), DVD/VCR, central laundry facility and gas grill. brbrThere is also a full hook-up RV pad with 50 amp service, located on the river. This house is equipped for FUN with a pool table, air hockey, ping-pong, and video arcade console.brbrThe spacebrFrom our experience, we have gathered all the basics for a fun family stay. It’s the little stuff like convenient USB charging locations, having measuring cups, vegetable oil, or even a selection of spices that make a difference! It’s complete with a comfortable tree-covered sitting deck with a propane grill in a nice neighborhood. There is also a fire pit. Shampoo, conditioner, and many other comforts are provided. This is definitely NOT a house for parties.brbrOur home is very dear to us. We updated and added things we have missed in other short term rental homes we have stayed in. It is a great place for families or small groups. It has some recent paint, fresh carpet, and some really nice updates.brbrThis home sleeps six comfortably, up to eight potentially. The first bedroom has a king bed (2 guests) with a TV. The second bedroom has a queen (2), and the third features 2 twin beds. There is a very comfortable inflatable twin mattress (1) in the closet with extra bedding. We have a Pack-N-Play unit, high chair, and lots of things for babies and toddlers.brbrThe living room has a brand-new recliner, couch, TV, and fireplace. The family room has a couch with a 55” TV, pool table, air hockey, ping-pong, and much more family fun! Lots of board games and books are available for you to enjoy.brbrThe kitchen has almost everything you could need to cook a meal with your family or friends. We’ve got the basics that you don’t want to buy when visiting a short-stay location.brbrWe have free Wi-Fi and three smart TVs with many free channels, local television channels, and your subscription app-based services like Netflix, YouTube, Disney+, HBO Max, etc.brbrGuest accessbrEntire house and up to four exterior parking places.
