Whether you are planning a mountain getaway, hiking trip (Appalachian trail is five minutes away), hike to the black stacks, fishing, rafting, a trip to the hot springs, Dollywood, Bristol motor speedway (an hour and a half away), or just a fun filled family vacation. Look no further! Our luxurious and spacious two-bedroom home with two king size beds and a brand-new pull-out couch with a queen size mattress in the loft, has two full bathrooms one upstairs and one downstairs. Our favorite highlight is the large front porch with 6 rocking chairs across the front to enjoy the serene surroundings and the sounds of the creek flowing. The house is supplied by natural spring water with an extensive filtering system. The kitchen has fully custom cabinets and is completely stocked for cooking meals. There is a washer and dryer in the mudroom. There are three flat screen TV's, one in the upstairs loft, one in the living room, and one in the second bed room upstairs. We also have star link internet service. This is a non- smoking home. It is immaculately maintained, with heightened attention of the importance of cleanliness and disinfection. Our professional cleaning staff both clean and disinfect with EPA - approved disinfectants following CDC guidelines before and after each stay, providing a safe and healthy environment for our guests. The mountains are full of wildlife including deer, turkey, birds, bears, and snakes. Our home is close to Asheville and historic downtown Greeneville, TN, and Marshal, NC. Viking Mountain Lodge is an old, 2200 square foot log cabin located inside the Cherokee National Forest near the Appalachian Trail. The cabin sits high up in the Smoky Mountains about halfway between the quaint mountain town of Hot Springs, North Carolina and the historic town of Greeneville, Tennessee. The two story structure is made of rough cut hemlock logs that are hand hewn on the exterior side. With four bedrooms and two full bathrooms, VML has the ability to sleep 15 guests making it well suited for large groups or family reunions.brbrVML overlooks Paint Creek which runs the width of the four acre property. Whether you’re sitting on the front porch in the handmade cypress furniture, on the deck in the rocking/adirondack chairs, or inside with the windows open, you can listen to the peaceful melody from the rushing waters of Paint Creek.
