Few locations on Norris Lake are in as close proximity to both the lake, the mountains, and the LaFollette/Jacksboro retail, restaurant, medical, and business district as we are. Across from Indian River Marina, we are 2 miles from town. This is a quiet, convenient, and comfortable place to stay, about 100 yards from Indian River Marina and the lake, and 20 minutes to fantastic ATV trails. brbrNew in 2021 the property is 600 s.f. with one sizable living room/kitchen combo and a bedroom with a queen bed. The living room has a high-quality sleeper sofa. Of course the lake is the best summer adventure, but fall, winter, and spring can be the perfect time for hiking, off-roading, campfires, wildlife viewing, family holiday gatherings, etc. That being said, we do not control the water levels and cannot guarantee you will be able to access the house by water. Unless there is a drought, there is generally 15-20' of water from early May through mid to late August. brbrMinimum age for the primary renter must be 28 or older. brbrRules: br Per HOA rules, there is no parking at the road. All vehicles and boat trailers must be parked down at the house. The driveway is steep but no need to be afraid of it, vehicles of all shapes and sizes are able to navigate it safely.br No parties or excessive noise. br No pets or emotional support animals allowed. Exceptions made on a case by case basis for registered service animals for physical disabilities such as blindness.br Please respect and care for our home as if it were your own. We love sharing it with you, but it takes TLC on everyone's part to keep it maintained for future guests. br Beginning in 2025, most reservations from Memorial Day through Labor Day will be 7 night minimum with check in/out on Fridays. There will be a few exceptions to this each year, depending on how our personal stays fall. The home comfortably sleeps 18 in real beds- no bunk beds, trundle beds or sleeper sofas. brbrThere are stairs from the deck down to a private dock with large swim platform and year round deep water. A covered 10x24 slip is reserved for your boat and another boat can be tied to the side of the dock. There is a kayak dock with easy entry ramp and three kayaks available for your use.brbrThe large decks feature comfortable furniture, a gas fire pit, a Blackstone grill and an amazing outdoor shower (trust me, nobody will want to shower inside).brbrNorris Lake is a flooded valley. There are about 100 stairs from the house to the dock. The stairs were replaced in the fall of 2023. They are sturdy with railings on both sides and several landings. For guests who do not wish to take the stairs, we are located 1/2 mile from the marina, allowing people to drive to the marina and be picked up by boat.brbrbrbrThe home is listed as accessible. We understand that what is accessible to one person may not be to another. There is not an ADA bathroom. However, we have had several guests in wheelchairs successfully vacation in the home. If you have accessibility questions, please contact us before bookingbrbrIf you are looking for additional bedrooms, there is a newly renovated mobile home next door. It features two bedrooms , full bath, washer/dryer, kitchen/living room and deck with gas fire pit. While it is an older mobile home, it has recently been upgrade with new windows, LVP Flooring, a mini-split Heat and A/C system and a tankless water heater for endless hot water. The lake and public boat launch is just a short walk across the road where you can put your boat or one of the two kayaks we have provided.
