This cozy cabin is filled with plants and has vintage & mid century decor. Get cozy by the wood burning stove, original river rock fireplace, and picture windows. Take a soak after a day in the snow in the deeper than average tub in the newly remodeled bathroom. brbrEnjoy the large kitchen with all new appliances, a tranquil outdoor space with beautiful ferns, cedar trees, sun & shade, a fire pit, and a bbq. Have a meal or enjoy games at the large 6-8 person farmhouse table. brbrCheck out our discounted weekly & monthly rates! This cabin is perfect for a couple, two couples, (3 couples if one sleeps on futon in living room), a friends weekend, or a family. We have 2 bedrooms (1 with Q and 1 with K), a nice Q futon in the living room. brbrThe space is open, yet cozy, charming with a rustic feel, but has modern amenities like dishwasher and newer mattresses. Watch from the large picture windows as the rain or snow falls while you are warmed by the wood stove! brbrWe are set back away from the road amongst lots of trees, but you can hear traffic from Barlow Trail Rd if you are in the front yard or have the front windows open. If you are in the backyard, or only have the river-facing windows open, you mostly hear the river! Our cabin is not on riverfront property, but you can hear the river, as it's just through the trees less than 50 yards away. Our cabin feels secluded, but we do have two somewhat distant neighbors. You can't see them in the spring/summer due to foliage, but in the winter you can see them through the trees. brUnder 20 min drive to Govt Camp, 5 min to Welches Thriftway grocery. brbrHEAT: you can heat the main living area in the cabin without using the wood stove to about 65 degrees, and the bedrooms to 72, by using the electric baseboard heater near the record player, the plug in heater, and the very warm bedroom wall heaters. Some guests found they needed to use the wood stove to be comfortable in the living room area, so please keep this in mind. Although there is electric heat, the wood stove is guaranteed warmth! The wood stove can heat the entire home on it's own if you read the instructions in the cabin and keep it going. In fact, it gets too hot at times! If you plan to use the wood stove and not the electric heaters, we provide wood for you, but please bring your own kindling & newspaper, which can be found at the Brightwood Store near the cabin for $2.99. brbrWe have a high chair and Graco pack n play board books and toys for those with little ones.

With a stunning 1.5 acres of artfully landscaped gardens surrounded by forest, you can relax on the 600 sq. ft. deck, or bike, hike, ski and snow shoe the beautiful Mt. Hood forest. Hear the sounds of Clear Creek nearby in this quiet private neighborhood. The home is modern, clean, and beautifully designed with warm cozy beds, beautiful linens, and spa like bathrooms. The main floor features an open concept design that is ideal for hanging out that everyone can enjoy while making meals at the end of the day. Gas fireplace, flat screen television with cable, ROKU and wifi will meet everyones needs. brbrThe modern kitchen features granite countertops, custom cabinets, and a fully outfitted kitchen. Large french press, pour over, and conventional coffee makers included along with large 4 griddle waffle maker. There is seating for 6-8 at the dining room table and an additional 6 barstools at the kitchen island.brbrThe 1st bedroom is very private and relaxing with a queen bed and is situated on the main floor right next to the beautifully tiled downstairs bathroom. brbr The 2nd extremely large master bedroom is located upstairs with a beautiful Cal King Bed from The Joinery and a sitting area with views of the beautiful Alder and Fir Trees. brbrThe 3rd bedroom is also upstairs, albeit unconventional, with four individual full sized beds installed in cozy custom built nooks - each with their own small shelf, lighting, and electrical outlets. Kids love this room and because the beds are full, they can also work well for adults. It is at the top of the stairs of the 2nd floor and considered a shared space for all 4 bunks - It's ideal for folks looking for a relaxed, fun, shared experience with family and friends. This bunk room also has a TV with Roku and a comfy couch for those looking to relax out of the main space. It's the perfect spot for the kids while adults are socializing downstairs. brbrThere is another generously sized spa like bathroom on the second floor for the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms.brbrLarge glass doors from the main living area open up onto a 600 sq. foot Iron wood deck furnished with lounge chairs and Adirondack furniture. From here you can take in the beauty of your private view of the gardens and the forest as your backdrop. There is a brand new Weber BBQ to use. A short walk from the deck will take you to a classic old school steel fire pit like you would find at a campground. We provide one bundle of firewood for use during your stay- you can easily get more from the grocery just 5 minutes away. Please observe all Forest Service rules regarding campfires. There is a hose bib near by for making sure your fire is out when you are done enjoying it!brbrTake a walk through meditation gardens and enjoy the raised garden beds beds and help your self to fresh herbs from the herb wall in summer!
