The HousebrOur home has an excellent location in a safe, upscale neighborhood with amazing restaurants, bars and shops just a few blocks away. There are beautiful walking streets with hidden staircases right outside our door. It's a spacious, art filled home that has everything a guest needs. Three comfortable bedrooms (with queen size beds with quality linens and blackout curtains) and bathrooms on the upper and lower - the one on the upper is a luxurious 12x12 marble bathroom that features a double slipper tub. The TV room next to the kitchen has a comfortable couch and club chair. A futon couch in the living room folds out into a double bed. There's a fully equipped cook's kitchen (convection oven, paella pan, wok, instapot, etc) with top-end appliances and an outdoor sitting area. brbrGuests with mobility issues: We have a bedroom and a 3/4 bath on the main floor. There are just four steps from the walkway to the porch.brbrGuests with sensitivities: We only use scent-free detergent for our linens and towels. We clean with vinegar and water and/or bleach. brbrThere is free ample street parking available to guests.brbrIf you prefer public transportation the 24 bus line is a one-minute walk from our front door. The Max line is in Hollywood (a mile away) and is a lovely 20-minute walk through a beautiful neighborhood. Electric bike rentals are also nearby. brbrThis is not a party house or an investment rental property. We really live here and want you treat it with the care you would give your own home. We make it available because we're retired and travel frequently. I thought this would go without saying, but please do not rearrange our furniture or drag anything across our wood floors. brbrYou pay a cleaning fee of $200 that will be used on your departure. Regular three-week cleanings are required (or DIY) and are at the guest's expense. brbrWe have a downstairs lon-term tenant who has a separate entrance and shares the yard space.brbrAny guests wishing to book must submit a photo ID to verify their age. brbrWe require a month-long minimum rental.

Although we are pet-friendly for you and your pets’ safety, we recommend they not be left unattended in the house without someone present, even if in a crate/kennel. Coffee and tea are furnished for you to start or finish your day. Salt, pepper, oil, sugar, and some condiments and spices are provided. The kitchen has a two seat bar, as well as a breakfast nook/table.brbrThe main bedroom is a lofted space, open, bright, with vaulted ceiling. There is a queen bed with a down comforter and memory foam mattress as well as a full dedicated work space/desk if you have to work during your stay. Note: Children will need to be carefully watched in the loft area.brbrThe second sleeping space/den is a TV free space gaming den and reading room, with a cozy couch and ample family games and books to peruse. While they cannot really be seen from the property, we do have neighbors, so please be respectful of their needs for peace and quiet as well.brbr*Let us know if you expect to have visitors beyond the people listed on the reservation.brbr*Dogs are allowed, but if you have more than two let us know first. I have prepared a dog basket with some towels, dog bowls, and a few toys for communal use. While we clean thoroughly between each guest, we cannot guarantee at any given time that the cabin will be free of any pet dander. Due to allergies, we are unable to host cats. Try to keep dogs off of elevated fabric surfaces i.e. couch, bed , etc. unless you lay down a towel or sheet first. While dander is inevitable, cleans between guests run smoother this way.brbr*Dogs and children must be supervised while on the property grounds at all times. Please ensure they do not wander into the forest as we have seen coyotes on the property in the past. Keep an eye on them!brbr*Guests booking must be 21 or older.brbr*Access to all listed TV streaming subscriptions can change at any timebrbr*We do not get snow very often in the winter months, but sometimes do! The street to the cabin is a regular road, and the driveway is a gravel base but it's always a good idea to carry chains in winter months.brbr*To keep dirt at a minimum we ask that you remove your shoes when entering the cottage & please wipe your dogs feet and body especially if it’s wet outside. We will provide a boot tray for muddy shoes near the door.brbr*Important Note: Children will need to be carefully watched in the loft area. There are openings in the railing that they could easily fall from. In fact, I would say the upstairs is not safe for children to be left alone at all.brbr*The cabin is on a septic system. We ask you to not flush anything besides TP down the toilet and use the drain catcher in the kitchen sink for food waste. No feminine products, Qtips, wet wipes, or other things should be flushed besides TP.
