brIf you have ever been to Surf City, you are familiar with this this home as it sits in a group of 4 iconic luxury ocean front buildings (which make up 8 luxury ocean front town homes). These large beautify pastel town homes makeup the town shore line and sit on North Shore drive in the 100 block just past Daddy Mac’s. You can truly park your car when you arrive and not get in it again for your entire vacation! Walking distance (1/2 mile or less) to 15 eating establishments from snow cones and ice cream to some of the islands best restaurants! You can even walk to the marina and rent a boa, go out on a fishing charter or take a dinner cruise. Walk to the surf city park and enjoy free Friday night outdoor movies and concerts or just enjoy all that the town has to offer. When you come home you can relax by the private community pool overlooking the beach (Private to the 8 luxury town homes). The pool is just exclusive enough to retain the privacy but gives the children and young adults a chance to make friends quickly. brbrWhile this home has “location, location, location”, the real benefit is the quality of the home itself. The first thing that you will notice is the quality of the construction. The home features porcelain tile and bamboo hardwood throughout, heavy trim work and 10 ft ceilings. The quality construction also includes heavy insulation, so you will immediately be impressed by how quiet the home is (important when you are vacationing with a large group). Each of the 4 main bedrooms is a master (having its own private full bathroom attached). Three of the 4 main bedrooms feature King size beds and the 4th bedroom features a custom built Twin XL over queen bunk bed and a twin over twin bunk bed. The fifth bedroom is on the entry level and has a twin over full bunk to help accommodate the overflow when unexpected additional guests show up (because you know when you have a wonderful place at the beach ….it will happen!). Note that this room does not have a private bathroom, but your guest will find it far superior to a sofa sleeper alternative for your overflow that is offered in many other homes!!) Everyone will appreciate the elevator to move luggage, food and family between floors.brbrWe rented for nearly 30 years before we were finally able to purchase our own rental property in Topsail. We used all that knowledge to make this home a superb rental. The home features a “pay it forward pantry” where we start the prime season with spices, pantry items, coffee, shampoo, paper products, laundry detergent and kitchen nonperishables. These items are available for our guest to use and enjoy on an honor system. We only ask that when you use the last of something, you pay it forward to the next guest by replacing it. If you have non-perishables you do not want to take home, feel free to pay it forward for the next guest to enjoy. brbrbrPay it forward beach chairs for guest use: brWe provide several collapsible/folding beach chairs for the home. We all know that the salt air and sand cause these chairs to rapidly degrade. If you use our chairs and one happens to break, we ask that you simply pay it forward and replace the chair so that our next guests can enjoy the benefit of not having to pack these items. brbrParking:brParking is under the home for 3 large cars or 4 compact cars. Welcome to Moonlit Shores! We are delighted to welcome you to enjoy a stay at our beautiful 2200-square foot beach home. Mooonlit Shores captures the very essence of a beautiful beach retreat: easy, immediate access to the beach, breathtaking, wide-open and unobstructed views of the ocean in a smartly-furnished 4 bedroom home with well-equipped gourmet kitchen. This beach home is as friendly to families as it is to couples or friends looking for a getaway to the beach.brbrOur beach home is cozily furnished making it comfortable and fun for all of our guests. Each of the well-appointed bedrooms has comfortable beds (2 king, 1 queen, 1 double, 2 twin), flat screen TVs, ceiling fans, and plenty of closet space to tuck away your suitcases and clothes. We even have a pack-n-play and high-chair available upon request. In 2023, we swapped out carpet for luxury vinyl plank flooring in all bedrooms and hallways and purchased 2 new king size beds. In 2024 we installed 2 new HVAC units to ensure you stay cool in the NC summer and also added new washer and dryer. brbrThe open floor plan of the 3rd floor maximizes the sights and sounds of ocean and surf either from the wall of full-length windows or out on the wide deck. After a fun day on the beach, you can relax in front of the 55' smart TV to watch a favorite movie or game, or hook up your Xbox. If you're like our family, you'll take full advantage of the high-speed internet for any devices you bring along. You'll find family games, cards, and a few books in the shelves and cupboards of the beautiful built-in entertainment center. brbrThe spacious kitchen with granite countertops and high-quality appliances is designed so that you rarely have to look away from the beautiful ocean or sky. We have a large panty open for your use and have ample dishes, utensils, and cookware: everything you need for cooking a gourmet meal or throwing together a big pancake breakfast. The table seats 8 with an additional pub table that seats 4. brbrThe home has two decks (2nd and 3rd floor) that look out on wide, open views of the ocean and beach. When you come back from the beach, you can use the enclosed outdoor shower with hot and cold water. There is plenty of parking for up to 4 cars in driveway.brbrThe house has a keyless entry, making it easy for everyone to come and go, without the worry of losing keys or having to stop by a rental agency when you get into town.brbrBedroom Layout: brTop Floor: 2nd main bedroom with king bed and full bath, sleeper sofa.brMiddle Floor: Main bedroom with king bed, private bath and deck; bedroom with twin bunk and full; and bedroom with queen bed with shared bathroom.brbrWe absolutely love the location. Our beach home sits on a sleepy, quiet stretch of beach about 1.5 miles north of Surf City proper. Turtles often nest in this area, and we regularly see dolphins playing in the surf. brbrIf you're ready for some land-side fun, Moonlit Shores is ideally situated. Our house is on a low-traffic, quiet road on the beach. It's great for going out for a jog, a bike ride, or a walk to catch the sunset. You can take an easy walk to a great city park a block away where the kids will have tons of fun. Or you might visit the Sea Turtle Rescue and Rehabilitation Center. There is biking, kayaking, kite flying, boating, paddle boarding, charter fishing… You name the activity, and you can find it nearby. brbrOr if you're looking for a simple, peaceful place to retreat from the hustle and bustle of life, you'll have found the right place. We're a quick two-hour drive from Raleigh and 30 minutes from the Wilmington Airport.
