The island has a fishing pier, arcade, surf shops, restaurants, museum, ice cream parlor, mini golf course, bicycle, jet ski, kayak, boat and golf cart rentals. The backside of the island has quiet protected water great for kayaking.

Tired of climbing stairs This lower unit is easily accessible and the lower height is more toddler friendly. Our villa also includes cable TV and internet (if you're trying to keep up with your email). brbrHey, you've got enough to pack. You know....those sandy beach chairs, sticky boogie boards and half sprung umbrellas Leave them at home! We provide beach chairs, beach umbrellas, a beach cart and a cooler. You actually have room in the SUV for the kids and grandma. brbrInside this luxury unit is beautifully furnished with an island décor, comfortable beds and a fully equipped kitchen. We tried to create an inviting island haven while still maintaining functionality. So....sometimes we opted for room appeal over just adding extra bedding. Hopefully you can get a feel of this from our pictures and video. brbrAs mentioned, our villa is on the lowermost level (one above the parking level) so there aren’t a lot of stairs to climb. The elevator (great for check-in) is always available but it seems the stairs get more daily use. There's an outside shower to hose down those sand covered creatures you had to drag off the beach. Plus you have full access to the storage room on the parking level (where the beach gear is). brbrTo the beach is easy, we're one of the closer villas to the beach. The three minute walk places you at a beautiful section of OIB that is currently undeveloped (see the video/picture of the beach). Also, a four-minute walk has you at the beach club facilities, including a beautiful ocean front pool. There also is beach access at the pool and you have full use of the parking facilities, if you want to drop kids/gear off. brbrIn the evening, enjoy the lagoon view from the deck swing. There are some incredible sunsets at OIB, primarily, because it's more of an east/west beach. The lit fountain in the lagoon is relaxing to see/hear at night. During the day, the little ones enjoy watching the lagoon turtles sunning themselves. br brWant to catch up on your golf or tennis As you probably already know, there are a lot of premiere golf courses in the area. The tennis courts are on site, part of the Islander Resort. brbrAs far as sleeping goes, the villa accommodates 8 in beds (King, King, Queen, 2 Singles) and one additional person in a rollaway.brbrA little more about the beach front pool, baby pool, and Jacuzzi. It's a large sized pool with lots of deck space and lounge chairs. It overlooks the surf so you can kinda get the best of both worlds from there. Use the pool passes from the condo to access. Plus, there's beach access on both sides of the pool. This area is only available to owners and guests (like you!) of the Islander resort. There is a big parking lot that you are free to use. So....it can be a great drop off point for kids and beach gear for both the pool and the beach. brbrDo you miss the hub-bub of Myrtle Beach We don't particularly. But, if you do, it's just a 45 minute drive and you can have all the shopping, restaurants, traffic and attractions that you want. Speaking of restaurants, there are lots of good ones on and off the island. We will be glad to share our favorites with you (we've been going to OIB for the last thirty five years!). brbrOcean Isle Beach is a great family beach. A fabulous destination, Ocean Isle Beach, boasts wide sandy beaches, and lots of recreational activities for all. It is a perfect place to enjoy a week at the beach or a quick get-a-way. Our condo is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home that is fully equipped to provide a great vacation experience. It is located in the Starboard By The Sea complex, sits on the sound / marsh side of the island and offers fantastic views of sunsets. Enjoy sitting on our covered deck, with your favorite beverage, and watch the sun set! brbrThere are a total of 6 beds and the condo will sleep 8 people. We have a queen and double bed in each of the larger bedrooms plus 2 twin beds in the smaller bedroom. New mattresses were added in April 2016 and 2017. We do not provide linen and towel service. br If needed, contact owner who will provide names of local people who will provide these items. There is a fully equipped kitchen, central air, washer / dryer, flat screen HDTV, and Wi-Fi.. There is a wall mounted TV in the master and second bedroom. Beach chairs, rafts and fishing equipment are provided for guests (located in our storage room). Covered ground level parking with space for 2-3 cars is found under our condo. The beach, with private access, is a short 3 minute walk away. There are 3 tennis courts throughout the complex and one of the courts faces our condo. The complex has 3 Swimming pools (with 1 of the swimming pools located on the beach). The swimming pool at the beach has a deck area, with rocking chairs, that overlooks the ocean. brbrWe completely remolded our kitchen and both bathrooms in December 2012. We have brand new appliances and state of the art fixtures in the kitchen. The master bath has a shower stall, while the hall bath has a standard tub / shower unit.brbrOcean Isle is located between Myrtle Beach, SC and historic Wilmington, NC ( a 30-35 minute drive either way). Southport, NC, with its quaint shops is located 35 minutes away. There are over 20 great golf courses within a 20 minute drive and Calabash, the seafood capital of the south, is located 20 minutes away.
