Our place is nestled in the Blue Ridge mountains on top of a mountain in a small gated community. A perfect place for lover's to get a way and forget life for awhile. The chalet is above a oversized detached garage. 1200 square ft. It has a spacious living room with a 3D TV and a nice size kitchen with custom cabinets and granite counter tops. If you like to cook like we do, there's pretty much everything you need. brbrThe house features a master bedroom with queen sized bed. The living room has a couch with a pull out sofa sleeper. The house is totally updated with granite counter tops, high end appliances and hard wood floors. brbrFrom the rear deck, it has a spectacular 165° view East to West. Seeing over 3 states (GA, NC, TN) is just the beginning. Sunrises and sunsets are totally amazing. Inside is a bit rustic yet has elegant touches. It's not heaven, but you can see it from here. brbr Downtown Murphy is 12 minutes away. Harrah's Cherokee Valley casino and John C Campbell folk school is about 15 or so minutes. If you're into the outdoors look no further. There's plenty of hiking/biking trails to choose from. Fly fishing, is also a favorite amongst locals here. If you're water people, there are lakes and boat rentals available spring through fall months. Tubing is very popular at the Nantahala gorge. If you're into adventure this is a must do.

It is your private retreat at the top of a mountain in a gated community.brbrForecasting the weather in the mountains is particularly challenging. If you don’t like the weather, just drive five miles or wait five minutes! Always prepare for a pop-up rain shower and cooler temperatures. As you travel the area, be aware cell service is extremely spotty. There is no cell service at the Whispering Leaves Cottage. You will need to use Wi-Fi calling while you are here.brbrIn addition, the road to the cottage, Teakwood Trail, is partially paved and mostly gravel with steep sections. Regency Drive is a gravel road.
