While this cabin is beautiful, it is remote—about 30 minutes to the nearest grocery store.Issues began on arrival day. After a nearly 10-hour drive, we were notified about an hour before check-in that the fridge had broken overnight. The only option offered by property mngmt was to cancel for a refund, which was unrealistic at 5:00 p.m. on a Friday w/ no nearby lodging available. We borrowed a mini fridge for the weekend. Accessing the cabin required climbing about 12 steps, one of which was severely rotted and unsafe. Management was notified of this.We purchased groceries & left them on the counter overnight. Despite 20 degree temps, the food was infested w/ ants by morning and had to be thrown away. We also encountered several other insects throughout the cabin, suggesting it had not been properly cleaned. After 3 nights, the fridge was repaired on Monday which was quick & we were told this was not the first time it had failed. Although fair compensation was promised, we received only a 15% refund which doesn’t even cover a night. The cabin itself is well-built, but lacked sufficient linens, blankets, and towels. Overall, this was a stressful and disappointing stay due to poor communication, maintenance issues, and cleanliness concerns.

was not told in description that washer/dryer were under the house! toilet in hall bathroom was not cleaned, dead bugs (lots) in all the rooms. it would be nice to have measuring cups and one more big pit to boil noodles etc in. not sure if owner is aware but their ceiling was leaking from upstairs bathroom right next to the fridge. overall it was a nice place with plenty of TP and paper towels

The cabin was beautiful. The beds were really good. It was close to just about everything. My disappointment was not knowing that the cabin had a basement where the washer and dryer were. It would have been good for that to be in the description. There was no soap in the bathrooms. I have stayed at many vacation rentals and always have soap, shampoo and dish soap at least starters. TV was an issue for us. I could not get the fireplace to work. Overall the cabin was good.
