This spacious oceanfront home is located on lovely and unspoiled Holden Beach in southern North Carolina. On the ocean side of the property there is a private heated 12 ftX25ft pool. brLoggerhead Landing is a 5 bedroom, 5.5 bath beachfront house with a roomy, fully equipped kitchen/dining area for family meals. The house accommodates 10 guests and is not rented to parties larger than 10. There is a spectacular living area adjacent to the kitchen-with both the kitchen and the living room featuring panoramic ocean views. The three upstairs bedrooms enjoy the same ocean vista and each opens out onto the upper covered porch. The upstairs bedrooms include a large master bedroom with a king bed and an adjoining bathroom, and two other bedrooms with queen beds both of which have adjoining bathrooms. In addition to the 3 bedrooms and 3 baths on the second floor, there is also a large upstairs living area with a TV. There is also a laundry room with a washer and dryer on the second floor. Both large downstairs bedrooms have adjoining full baths. One of the bedrooms has a queen bed, the other bedroom has a bunk bed with the bottom bunk being a queen bed and the top bunk being a twin XL bed. They are both sizable, airy bedrooms and have a view of the salt marsh across the road. There is also a half bath downstairs. br The house has two large covered porches on the ocean side. The porches are sprinkled with comfortable chairs to relax in. The pictures show the view of the beach and oceanscape from the porches. The house faces due south so that the porches provide shade during the heat of the day. There is a large sun exposed porch on the ocean side of the house that is perfect for sunbathing while basking in the sea breeze with a unobstructed ocean view.brThe beach is steps from the house so there is no tiring walk for young children before they get to enjoy the fine sand and the ocean waves. The beach itself is typically very uncrowded as the home is located on a narrow section of the island, and there is only one house behind it on the second row. The beach itself is wide, with plenty of room even at high tide. There is no nearby public beach access. brThe 12x25 ft heated pool was added in 2017 and is situated on the ocean side of the house. The pool itself is large, with an expansive deck that offers shade and sun. The pool will be a hit with the children during the day, and with the adults as the sun goes down. A new PVC pool deck was added in 2022.brThis house was previously rented as Loggerhead Landing by the current owner and a business partner who was recently bought out. The current owner has been renting the house on VRBO since 2014. brWe have named the property Loggerhead Landing in honor of one of the types of sea turtles that nest every year on Holden Beach. Perhaps you will see a nest with freshly laid eggs one morning when you are walking along the miles long strand at Holden Beach. The pier is about one and a half miles east of the house.brThe house has plenty of electronics with a flat screen TV in each bedroom as well two others in the upstairs and downstairs living areas. Each TV is either a smart TV or has a ROKU. The house also has YouTube TV and WiFi brThere is a gas grill at the house. Cleaning and pool heating in season is included in the rental price. Sheets and towels are not included. The house is on pilings and is not wheelchair accessible. Although the house is listed as pet free, our family trains service dogs and the house may have dog dander. It would not be appropriate for families that have a member with dog sensitivity. The house rents Saturday-Saturday with check in time 4 PM and check out time of 10 AM. brSeveral improvements have been made before the 2022 season. These improvements include painting the exterior of the house, new flooring throughout, a new PVC pool deck, new clothes dryer, new dishwasher, new refrigerator, and a new hot water heater.
