Square logs reminiscent of the Scotch Irish settlers in the 1700's make you feel as if you have stepped back to an earlier time. Large hemlocks, abundant on this property give Hemlock Point cabin its name. Furnished with antiques, a claw foot bathtub, a modern spa hot tub on the deck, natural materials, comfortable furniture, quilts, a soapstone fireplace (albeit gas logs), a real wood fireplace on the outside deck, a gun on the mantle, a variety of varmints hung on the wall (bought at auction)... collections to create an atmosphere of make believe. You are a now in the role of mountain settler, cozy up to the fire and set a spell.brbrbrThe mountain ridge views from this log home are phenomenal. The breezes of refreshing mountain air are exhilarating. Looking out over 7 to 9 ridges (depends on the day) you can imagine how it looked to 'first nations' peoples and early settlers seeing it for the first time. Daniel Boone traversed these mountain ranges, living just few miles away on the Yadkin River. You certainly will believe that God was at work in building all the mountain's glory. Most of our guests have commented on God's blessings for this space, this mountain, this respite in their lives.
