Pleasure Island is located within Federal Point Township, in New Hanover County. The coastal resort towns of Carolina Beach and Kure Beach, as well as the annexed communities of Wilmington Beach and Hanby Beach are located on the island. The building itself is one row away from the ocean, and one row from Carolina Beach Lake. The property is set under a block from downtown Carolina Beach with its shops, activities, and dining. brbrThe home is in the heart of Carolina Beach and moderate walking distance to downtown and everything that is has to offer. In Carolina Beach you’ve got the boardwalk, restaurants, and local shops of all kinds. If you like adventures, the marina is also there where you can take an offshore fishing trip, diving excursion, or party boat out for a sunset sail. Camping more your thing Bring the 4X4 and drive (and camp) on the beach at Freeman Park, located on the North End of the island. brbrYou can also head down to Kure Beach and fish directly off their fishing pier complete with bait, tackles, and more! In addition, there is a microwave, toaster, coffer maker and blender ready to help make yourself at home (while on Vacay!). 1 courtesy soap, shampoo and conditioner are left in the bathroom of each home as well as 2 rolls of TP per bath, 1 makeup wipe and one backup toothbrush. 1 roll of paper towel, a sponge, dish soap, 2 trash bags per receptacle and (*as applicable) 3 dishwasher and laundry pods will be available to use if needed!brbrThe unit's ONE (1) QUEEN bed and TWO (2) TWIN beds consists of either a plush luxury mattress or a new encased 8” memory foam/cooling gel composition mattress because we want all of our guests to be comfortable when it comes time to recharge. 1 set of the following will be made on a per bed/per person basis to help you be comfortable on your adventure! Bed sheets (fitted/flat set), bath towels, wash cloths, cleaning rags, pillowcases, bathmats and kitchen towels. Laundering or extra sets are not an available service regrettably. Rest assured that we have partnered with an extremely highly regarded cleaning crew who has just as high of standards as we do.brbrWe have also graciously stocked the kitchen with a large variety of cookware, allowing your group of up to 10 to make our home feel like yours during your stay.brbrThe beach access can be seen from the front yard, just a short 5 minute walk straight down the road and onto the sand.brbrOur home has 5 bedrooms and 2 full baths. On the first floor there is 1 bedroom with a queen bed and 1 full bathroom with a shower. On the second floor there are 3 bedrooms with a king bed, 1 bedroom with two twin beds (twin trundle bed), and 1 full bathroom with a tub/shower. The bedroom with the twin trundle bed is part of a 3 room suite (the third room being a living room), along with one of the bedrooms with a king bed. These two bedrooms are ideal for a family with children, or a group of family or friends who do not mind the shared space. There is a living room upstairs which comes in handy when members of the group want to spread out and relax away from the main floor's open concept living space. After all, you are on vacation!brbrOur home has two large front porches -- on the first and second floor. We also have a back deck on the first floor off of the kitchen where we do our grilling!
