Spacious Retreat w/Elevator, Ocean Views, Tiki Bar, Short Walk to the Beach

Have had family living in Carolina Beach since 1963. Always enjoy and recommend the beach and boardwalk, Britts Donuts, State Park, Fort Fisher, Wilmington downtown, the Cameron Museum and the general ambiance.

The property was as advertised!. Extremely spacious, very clean, great neighborhood in a prime location with excellent ocean views. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable and the owners suite was my favorite to rest and relax after a long day at the beach or boardwalk. The Tikki was a hit for a bbq and evening cocktails. We were literally 2 blocks from the beach and a short distance to the pier where we enjoyed some night fishing. Overall, our experience and stay was excellent!!. We can’t wait until our next at this beautiful house.

Clean and well kept property. I understand that you are close to beach but very old trailer home was being tore down across the street and was terribly overgrown. The elevator never worked properly. I let management know immediately and told them we were good not having it repaired. Our family was able to go up and down the 4 flights of stairs. But the information book on property is very clear, repeatedly, that the elevator is a big problem. You were warned over and over that you would be charged if someone had to come out and reset or repair. My husband tried it when we arrived and it got stuck, then he got it going again. But we decided not to even try to use it. The only other thing was that there was one towel per person for 5 day stay. Going to beach at least twice a day with family and we brought beach towels, meant laundry daily. Stayed at a lot of VRBO’s this was a first. Big problem especially if you fly in like we did. Could never have packed our own towels. Our family had a great trip. Loved the area. The property did have beach chairs, beach wagon, sand toys and ice chest that we used daily. ‘

Loved this property. Very clean, close to the beach, great communication with property management, and plenty of room. So much to do nearby. Will stay again.

Great location. The house was just the right size for our family of 5 adults and 3 young children. This was our first visit to Carolina Beach and it was a hit with all of us.

This property worked so well for our family! We had two adult couples and two college age young adults. The living room and outside deck were spacious so we could all comfortably hang out together in the same room. With the 4 bedrooms and bathrooms, everyone had their own room, and all were very nice and well-maintained The location was perfect it was in a quiet neighborhood, but an easy walk walk to Kure Beach and the downtown shops, restaurants, and boardwalk.

A gorgeous house that was perfect for our family! Bedrooms on different floors gave everyone privacy. Everything was clean and lots of provided amenities. Host is very quick to respond to any questions or concerns. The Keurig was having issues and they brought a new one right away! Great time just wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely be back!

The house is great. The inside is very nice! There are a lot of stairs but the elevator is there which is helpful. The grill out back came in handy for grilling. Only 2 blocks from the beach and easy walk. We had 4 adults and 5 kids ages 7-10 and it worked out fine. Easy drive to the boardwalk or down to Kure beach restaurants

Overall, we had a lovely stay at the beach house--there was plenty of space for everyone to relax either as a large group or alone when privacy was needed. The home was clean and welcoming. The elevator was absolutely necessary for the older members of our group who had limited mobility. Unfortunately, the water pressure was nothing short of terrible. For example, if someone was showering one could not wash their hands elsewhere in the house. When we arrived back from the beach everyone inside would need to be warned so those outside could adequately wash off (this took considerable time). To be clear, we're not talking a decrease in water pressure elsewhere in the house but a complete lack of water anywhere else inside. We adapted during our visit but at times it made the stay a bit frustrating.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The elevator was a huge plus for the multiple floors in the building. We had plenty of propane tanks for the grill, and we used them a couple of nights during our stay. The beach access was an easy walk from the home. We even found a nice bike trail at the back of the neighborhood during our stay. We recommend to anyone wanting to stay at Carolina beach.

The house was wonderful. Everything worked that we used from outside gas grill, water hoses to wash off chairs and feet. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and utensils to cook with. The elevator was helpful for my 89 year old father and with everyone’s luggage. The kitchen fridge was big enough for all the food we brought and the outside kitchen had the extra fridge space we utilized. The only issues would be the water pressure in the master shower upstairs. If there was a toilet flush, the water stopped until the tanks finished then the shower continued with a trickle. If multiple showers were in use, then all would be low pressure. I do not know if this is normal with Carolina beach/ Kure beach infrastructure or is it just each individual house. It was a pleasant stay and the AC worked well. We would certainly book again for Carolina Beach area with VRBO. Ricky Kilian

This house was welcoming to us from a long drive to beach. It met all of our needs and then some. Had enough room for all my family. Close walk to beach although we did re t golf carts which made it fun too. Would rent here again when need a big house for a large family.

We enjoy our stay at Carolina Beachside. Great location, easy walk to the beach. The house had plenty of space. Nice partial views of the ocean!
