Luxury Secluded Mountain Retreat, Incredible Long Range View

Banner Elk, North Carolina, United States

We searched a long time for the perfect spot for our second home; this is it. Eagles Nest (here before the development by the same name) sits on two secluded acres at the very top of a mountain between Valle Crucis and Banner Elk overlooking three states. When you stay with us, you are only 15 minutes from boutique shopping, recreation, four star restaurants and even a winery. brbrYet, you're surrounded by farms, beautiful wildlife and breathtaking views. You see it all here. Weather takes on a new meaning. From rare Rime Frosts to thick August fogs, winter white blankets of snow to linen white Catawba Rhododendron blooming under cool mountain skies, front row to a fierce symphony thunderstorm to unmatched panoramic fall color. You can watch it all from the covered deck overlooking Tennessee, Virginia and North Carolina, or by the stone fireplace in our living room cozy with French and English country antiques and reproductions. brbrIn the winter we get snow, snow , snow. In the summer we get a 22-25 degree temperature difference--cool. And don't worry, with all of this weather activity we have a whole house generator that takes over automatically if the power goes out. The bedrooms here are furnished with 100% oxford cotton sheets and Sterns & Foster mattresses. The chef's kitchen (we're cooks) is stocked with pantry items and spices. brbrPlease replace what you use. There is an honor bar and honor wine cellar. Also please replace what you use. Nearby there are several spas including the famed Westglow Spa in Blowing Rock. You are surrounded by hundreds of mountain trails to hike and three major ski resorts. Yes, this is a very special place. Warning: you will be addicted. We hope you enjoy and gently care for our second home as much as we do. brbrThank you, Randy and John CLICK ON THE LINK BELOW FOR MORE PHOTOS/VIRTUAL TOURbrbrKeywords: Luxury, Country House, Views, Seclusion, Private, Gourmet, French Country, Mountain Retreat, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk

Snow chains may also be necessary depending on conditions. Mountain roads can become significantly more difficult to navigate after dark, especially during or after winter weather events.brbrbrbrWhile we make reasonable efforts to clear driveways and walkways, snow removal is not guaranteed, especially during active snowfall or severe weather conditions. Natural snowfall may accumulate faster than it can be safely cleared. Snow shovels are provided for guest use so you can clear additional accumulation to your preference.brbrbrbrMountain travel may be slower than expected, and road closures or delays can occur without notice. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your trip investment in case of weather-related travel interruptions.brbrbrbrPlease note that winter weather, road conditions, flight cancellations, or travel delays are not valid reasons for refunds, date changes, or cancellations outside of the listing’s stated cancellation policy. By booking this property, you acknowledge the inherent risks of winter mountain travel and accept responsibility for arriving safely and prepared.brbrbrbrOther Things to Note:brbrPlease note there is a unit above this one.
