You`ll have plenty of living space and common areas like the spectacular veranda off the kitchen allowing plenty of space for large groups to congregate.brbrYou can enjoy the views of the Intracoastal Waterway from almost every room.brbrOur saltwater pool is heated but you have to let us know 72 hours in advance if you would like the heat to be turned on. It is an extra $50/day for the heater to be on. brbrThe water off our pier ranges from 1 inch to 3 feet of water depending on the tide and the season. It is not ideal to dock a boat off our pier. brbrWith a 10 minutes drive to Atlantic Beach, 15 minute drive to Emerald Isle or Beaufort, there is plenty of places for shopping and groceries, and the nearby Pine Knoll Aquarium, you won`t miss a beat. brbrPlease be advised that if the air temperatures reaches under 50 degrees, our pool heater likely will not heat the pool enough to swim. This house was built by my grandfather around 1940. It has been passed down through the generations and there is lots of family history between it's walls. The Sandbar is located in a quaint, quiet neighborhood within walking/biking distance to downtown Morehead where beautiful boats are docked and great restaurants, bars and shops await you. There also is a new playground with splash pad, tennis courts and pickleball courts available just blocks from the house. It is only a short walk down the alley to the Bogue Sound where you can sit and relax on the beach and watch the boats go by and the sun set. The Atlantic ocean is a short 2 1/2 mile drive across the bridge to Atlantic Beach. Just east of Morehead is beautiful Beaufort, a must see while you are in the area, which is the third oldest town in North Carolina.brbrThe house has two separate apartments.
