Of course, there is also a picnic table on the deck which is easily accessed from the kitchen.brbrThe kitchen is fully stocked with all you’ll need – pots and pans, blender, drip coffee maker, hand mixer, slow cooker, flatware, glassware, and utensils.brbrFollow the hall from the great room, and you’ll find a full bath with a tub and shower combo along with two bedrooms, each with a queen bed. There’s also a door to the stairs that lead to the lower level. Follow these stairs down, and you’ll find the walk-out access to the front of the home. You’ll also discover a family area with a Roku TV for streaming, a sofa, and a love seat. There’s also another large coffee table for snacks and games, and a regular table with seating for six – another great place for playing games. The lower level also has a laundry/utility room, a full bath with a shower, and then two bedrooms – one with two twin beds, and one with two double beds.brbrOutside, there is a large wrap-around deck and a fire pit. We have several Adirondack and folding chairs, along with a picnic table.brbrUp the stairs from the great room, you’ll find the large primary bedroom with a window seat and king bed. There is also a full bath with a shower located off the landing at the top of the stairs, just outside the primary bedroom. From that landing, there is a circular staircase that leads to the Crow’s Nest, which is a great place to find solitude with a large, padded window seat, or to set up as a sleeping space (if you bring along an air mattress). Beautiful to watch the sun setting, or an impressive storm coming across the lake. This area has two queen log beds, two twin beds and a full-size futon bed. In the basement are two beautiful bedrooms, each with queen-sized log beds and large windows. Hi, my name is Mindy. I’m mom of one and “Nini” to two amazing grandson’s. I am retired and a year round resident of Silver Lake. I open my home up to guests for 6-8 weeks each summer. During this time, I stay with my daughter who also lives in Silver Lake. Renting my home out to guests for a limited amount of time each summer allows me to live here year round. My guests have been wonderful and some return year after year. It has been a very easy and pleasant experience.br Enjoy all the comforts of home, with nice furniture, comfy beds and living spaces. Located in the middle of it all and situated on 3 lots and Hunter Creek which feeds into beautiful Silver Lake. It is a very nice, clean and spacious 2,370 sq. ft., two story cottage home with an open floor plan. There are 4 bedrooms and 1 1/2 baths. 1 full bathroom with a shower is located on the first floor. A 1/2 bath is on the upper level, between two of the three upstairs bedrooms. br Bring your kayak and/or canoe and take off from the back yard and paddle your way right into Silver Lake. Hunter Creek has been shallow the past few years. So, for those of you who have a large boat, there is a public boat launch just at the end of W. Taylor and N. Shore Rd., you can drop it off and bring your trailer back to the house. If you don't have a kayak or boat, you can rent one from the Wave Club which is just down the street. At this time, there are no open boat slips available to dock your boat on Silver Lake. We are hoping this will change in the near future.br We are located right next to the Silver Village Assoc. path that leads to a pedestrian bridge that crosses Hunter Creek. Just a short walk across the bridge and up a dirt road leads you to the private Silver Village Assoc. pool and playground. Swim in the SVA private pool (scheduled days/times). Watch as people enjoy the zip line, drop tower and go carts at Craig's Cruisers. Walk across the street and eat lunch or dinner at The Chicken Shack, Smashed Burgers, MI Base Camp or Silver Scoops. Golden Bakery is where you can find yummy donuts, cinnamon rolls and breads. The Silver Lake State Parks, Silver Lake Sand Dunes and ORV access and parking are about a mile away. Don’t forget to ride on the dunes at Mack Woods Dune Rides! Our beautiful Little Sable Pointe Lighthouse and stunning Lake Michigan beach is less than 2 miles away. So many other places to enjoy are just a short drive, too!brbr~NO PETS ALLOWED.br~NO SMOKING inside the home. Outside, safely dispose of your butts.br~Garbage pick up is on Monday mornings by 6:00a.m. So, take the garbage out to the road @ end of driveway on SUNDAY EVENING! br~We keep the a/c set at a comfortable 72 temperature. Keeping it at this temp will keep the costs down for all of us. br-As a courtesy, we will start you off with 4 rolls of toilet tissue and 1 roll of paper towels. You will supply the rest.br-If you run out of propane for the bbq grill, take the empty tank to one of the gas stations and exchange for a full one. Leave the receipt on the kitchen counter and I will reimburse you through your VRBO booking.brbr*IMPORTANT! The housekeeping crew will be there at 11:00 sharp to clean the bathrooms, make the beds and do the laundry before the next guests arrive at 3:00. PLEASE! Pick up after yourselves and leave the home and property in the condition it was when you arrived. Thanks so much!brbr ~MORNING CHECK OUT is by 11 a.m.~brYou will find a vacuum and broom in the utility closet as well as in upstairs hallway. All of the cleaning supplies you will need is in the laundry area.brbr~PLEASE, strip ONLY the sheets/pillowcases from the beds and put downstairs in front of the washer/dryer area in the kitchen. br-Housekeeping will inventory quilts/comforters, switchover with replacements stored in sunroom area and take them off site to wash/dry. br~Place all wet/dirty towels in a laundry basket in front of the washer or inside the shower.br~Dust. Pick up. Vacuum and sweep the floors.br~Do NOT leave any dishes in the sink. Wash/dry and put away.br~Do NOT leave opened food in the refrigerator. Dispose of the food or take it with you. br-Any unopened food is okay to leave for the next family, if you wish to do so. br~CLEAN the yard/deck.br-CLEAN THE BBQ GRILL. A large outdoor ceiling fan will keep you cool and the roof will keep you dry! Patio lights will be strung to create a great ambiance. Off the patio to the right will be a large Weber grill and off the patio to the left will be stairs to the fire pit. The best of MI summer evenings are spent around a fire pit. brbrThe main floor opens up with lockers in the foyer leading you down a hall which connects the 2 main floor bedrooms with king memory foam mattresses and a large 12x6 bathroom. The open floor plan will have a large kitchen, stainless steel appliances, quartz counters with island seating for 4. The dining area has a handmade table and bench seating for 10. The first of two living rooms will have spacious seating and a 65” smart TV. brbrThe upstairs has 2 bedrooms and a bathroom and is the perfect space for kids of any age. In one of the closets there is a hide-a-way that is perfect for kids to play in. brbrIn the basement there are 9’ walls, a bedroom with a queen bed, large bathroom with laundry area and a large family room with attached game room. brbrWe Have Also Added a Pontoon Rental Option. Fully Equipped With Life Vests, Mp3 Radio, Ski Rope And Tube. Pontoon Rests On A Boat Lift Within The Flora Dale Private Beach And Dock Area. Rental ranges from $950-1400/wk.
