This home has plenty of history, as it was once a gas station, cobbler's workshop, bakery, and most recently, a photography studio. Rumor has it that the home was even once lost in a gambling bet and the gambler's grandfather purchased the home back for his grandson. brThis 4 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath home includes central air, outdoor dining on the deck and patio, and an additional living space with TV and games.brWith an open-concept layout and a large 7-foot kitchen island that extends to a sun-drenched living room with plenty of windows to enjoy the view of the harbor, SummerSalt is a great space for entertaining. There is a large new basement that can be used for games and hanging out with family and friends. Enjoy snacks and cocktails or read a good book on the deck off the living space. Dine alfresco on the back patio, complete with a grill for some good eats.brOur home is located just steps from Boothbay Harbor's iconic footbridge, where you can walk into the quaint, quintessential harbor town and visit the shops, enjoy the restaurants and breweries, catch some live music, or take an excursion on the water. This is part of a private community, Bayville, where you will have access to a children’s play area, tennis court, and ping pong table, as well as the community dock & beach. This is a paradise for adults and children alike where the children will have no end to fun swimming, observing nature, and collecting souvenirs to remember their vacation with.brbrThe cottage has a modern, fully equipped kitchen with a dining area that is perfect for gathering. The upstairs has two bedrooms with a queen-sized bed in each, while the downstairs has two double bunk bedrooms. There are two full bathrooms and a spacious laundry room. As you exit the living room you come onto a deck with a dining table and chairs. Twenty feet in front of the deck is the gate to a 40-foot by 20-foot pool overlooking the ocean and private dock. The dock is available for your use and comes complete with a picnic table and stairs down to the beach. In addition to the dock, a mooring is available for your boat if desired. br brBayville is located within the town of Boothbay Harbor, so dining and all town attractions are within easy reach of this special occasion. They can even be accessed via the trails mentioned above. The pool is not heated and closes in late September. Please note that it is shared with the owners who will use it from time to time when not being used by you.brbrChildren are not permitted in the pool area without an adult.
