We spent our mornings on the deck eating breakfast and enjoying the view. We LOVED the location, all of our favorite spots were just a few feet away from the front door. Immaculate newly renovated home overlooking the harbor. Each of the rooms have it's own scenic view. The terrace outside has a wonderful harbor view great for relaxing and barbequing outside and even a small yard for children to play. Downtown Boothbay is only steps away where you'll find amazing artesian shops, restaurants, and bars, my personal favorites being Port of Italy and Fisherman's Wharf. Downtown you'll also find many of Boothbay's best attractions including kayaking in the harbor, scooter and bike rentals, seal and whale watching and light house cruises. One of my favorite day trips is to Cabbage Island where they have wonderful authentic clam bakes in the summer. Another activity is to visit Barrett's park located on the other side of the harbor which is a very picturesque cove great for swimming and hiking. Also close by you'll find a lovely Botanical Garden and an aquarium. Less than an hour drive away you can visit the beach at Reid State Park and Acadia National Park is three hours away. If you've never been to Boothbay Harbor it is a trip you must take, my family has been visiting this beautiful place for over fifty years for a good reason!br
