Do not travel with someone who is sick.brbrAT THE GATE (RESERVATIONS): brA reservation will be required to drive into Yosemite National Park from May 24 through September, 2025. We have you covered! Since this home is located INSIDE Yosemite National Park, you will NOT NEED a separate entrance reservation, only proof of your lodging reservation (please see official park website for details). We highly recommend that visitors planning a trip to Yosemite stay informed by regularly checking the National Parks websites and affiliated sources for any updates regarding the reservation system. While we strive to provide our guests with an exceptional experience, it's important to note that access to Yosemite or nearby attractions cannot be guaranteed, especially during peak seasons. By staying informed and flexible, visitors can better navigate their travel plans and make the most out of their trip to this beautiful region.brbrKitchen: The kitchens are stocked with pots, pans, cookware, cups, silverware, and more! Our housekeeping team provides salt, pepper, and a can of cooking spray for your use. Occasionally, previous guests leave behind items such as spices, aluminum foil, or ziplock bags. You're welcome to use any of these, but please note that our team does not check for or restock them, so we can't guarantee what will be available. If these items are crucial to the success of your vacation, we recommend bringing them along to ensure you have everything you need. We try to clearly state this in the listing so there are no surprises. brbrLinens: Did you know that our vacation homes are among the few in the Yosemite area to feature professionally laundered linens For every reservation, all linens are cleaned in commercial-grade washers using hypoallergenic detergent that's stronger and more effective than typical residential options. They're then pressed at 300°F—nearly twice as hot as a standard home dryer—to ensure the highest level of cleanliness and freshness. It's an extra step we take to provide a truly clean, comfortable, and welcoming stay.brbrSecurity Cameras: There are external only cameras on the premises that face certain entrance points of the home.brbrInsurance: Travel Insurance is provided as an option during the checkout process. Please note that as hosts, we cannot protect your trip from flight delays, illnesses, weather, job loss, or other circumstances that may prevent you from making your trip. We truly wish we could! We STRONGLY suggest purchasing some type of Travel Insurance so that you may protect your vacation investment from unforeseen circumstances that may prevent you from making your trip. It's a nominal cost that can absolutely pay off!brbrMail: Due to locked neighborhood mailboxes, we ask you not mail anything to the property. You are most welcome to mail items to our office (Love Yosemite! Vacation Rentals) in Oakhurst. Please reach out to us to make arrangements.brbrPests: Please note that this property is nestled in the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains, offering a wonderful connection to nature. While we take regular preventive measures, including professional pest control, occasional visits from local wildlife—such as ants, spiders, insects, mice, or cobwebs—can occur. If you notice any of these during your stay, please let us know so we can promptly address them and ensure your comfort.brbrNeighbors: Please do not trespass on the neighboring properties. We appreciate you respecting the local neighborhood!brbrMaintenance: In case of emergency - Management and Management's representatives and agents have the right to enter the premises, after making reasonable attempts to contact tenants, to make any necessary repairs to maintain the health and safety of the tenants or the property.brbrNo Smoking: The Smoke Remediation Fee will be a minimum of $500 for smoking in the house and could be higher depending on the extent of the damage.brbrQuiet Hours: Quiet Hours are from 10PM to 8AM everyday. Management shall not be held liable for the condition of said items. Any items not claimed for longer than 30 days may be donated or sold.brbrSimple Checkout Instructions: We understand checking out can be stressful and hectic, so we have implemented some of the easiest checkout procedures in our industry.br1. No need to start any laundry, we'll handle it all off site with our professional linen company.br2. If you could start the dishwashers, that would be very helpful.br3. Place all garbage in the bear proof dumpster located in the driveway, and secure lid.br4. PLEASE return any furniture you may have moved during your stay (especially outdoor chairs).br5. Most importantly, please note our checkout time is 11am, not 10am like over 80% of vacation homes in our area! (45R) Yosemite National Park

Yosemite National Park, California, United States

Welcome to Camp Duke, where you're sure to enjoy the quintessential mountain experience! This unique property sits at the end of a private lane, surrounded by National Park forest and a year-round creek, offering privacy, solitude, and unspoiled forest views with a glimpse of Wawona Dome (often illuminated by alpenglow in the evenings). Just a minute or two from Wawona's two markets, the Wawona Hotel, and multiple trailheads, this charming log cabin compound is perfect for romantic weekends, family gatherings, or small corporate retreats. Camp Duke consists of the original log cabin featuring two queen bedrooms, one full bathroom, a well-appointed kitchen with brand-new, top-of-the-line appliances (including a dishwasher and freezer with ice maker), the original river-stone wood-burning fireplace, and a pullout couch.brIn addition to the main cabin, the property includes:brbr - A separate studio with a king-size bed positioned under skylights for stargazing, along with its own wood-burning stove, offering a private retreat separate from the main cabin.br - A modern, stand-alone bathhouse, designed to feel spa-like, featuring a large walk-in shower, beautiful redwood cathedral ceilings with skylights, and a full laundry area.brThe large back deck of the main cabin provides a beautiful communal gathering space, complete with a canopy glider swing, ample seating, a generous dining table, a cedar soaking tub, an outdoor fire pit, and a propane grill. Each structure has been thoughtfully and meticulously designed to provide both shared spaces for group enjoyment and quiet pockets of privacy for each guest.brbr3 Bedrooms – 2 Baths – Sleeps 8 – Single LevelbrbrNo pets allowed. This cabin does not have air conditioning. An EV charging station is available at the Main Office.brbrAbout the AreabrbrNestled just 4 miles inside the southern entrance of Yosemite National Park is the charming and historic town of Wawona. Located at the base of Chilnualna Falls (the second-highest vertical drop waterfall in Yosemite) and home to the principal trailheads into the southern Yosemite wilderness, Wawona is also the closest town to the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias. brWawona has the feel of a small town but is bustling with activity! Over 160 residents, including Yosemite Park employees, live in Wawona and can be seen gathering at the town's community center, playing a pickup basketball game at the elementary school, jogging on one of the many picturesque trails, or simply walking their dogs and baby strollers through the winding residential streets. The historic Wawona Swinging Bridge boasts the best natural water slide in the Park! The history village is filled with docents, stagecoach rides, horseback rides, and barn dances in the summer season, and the Wawona Meadow Loop offers year-round riparian meadow wildlife viewing.brWawona was known to the local Native American Miwok in their language as Pallachun (a good place to stay). It is located entirely within Yosemite National Park (it preceded the founding of the park as a national recreation area), and is located on the South Fork of the wild and scenic Merced River, on the main highway (State Route 41) from Fresno to Yosemite Valley.brGalen Clark, who helped gain preservation legislation for Mariposa Grove and what later became part of Yosemite National Park, occupied the Wawona area in 1855 and established a tourist rest and modest ranch, which he later sold and made into a hotel and resort property (the Wawona Hotel). The Wawona post office was established in 1878 and was originally called Clark's Station.brThe Redwoods in Yosemite has over 110 vacation rental homes and is proud to say that all of them are located in Wawona. All are within walking distance to everything that Wawona has to offer, and every one of them is surrounded by the majesty of Yosemite National Park!

During the summer months, we are located within 20 minutes of the Valley floor and 6 miles from the turn off on the 41 to get to Glacier Point.brbrThe benefits of staying at our home inside Yosemite National Park are many. By actually being inside the National Park gates, you avoid the long lines going in and out of the entrance stations. At peak season, this can be an hour or more wait time just to enter the park. This allows you to experience leisurely mornings enjoying the peace and solitude of our quiet community before taking off to see the many attractions in the park. brbrAfter a day of soaking up the wonders of Yosemite, our home is only a short drive out of the crowded valley where you will return and enjoy the evening in the great lounge taking in the sunset through our picture windows while relaxing in our comfortable and cozy furniture. Weather permitting, enjoy the grand deck while observing birds and wildlife such as coyotes, squirrels, black bears and deer. Sit back and relax while watching the sunset turn to a glorious star-filled sky. Find the constellations and count the shooting stars. This is a place away from the crowded Yosemite Valley floor, a place for evening relaxation. Sit back and enjoy the wind whispering through the cedars, pines and dogwoods. brbrWhile campers in the valley experience the haze and smog of hundreds of campfires, you will marvel at the clear night skies while listening to the sounds of the forest from the large decks! You will love our starry nights and pine scented mornings at Yosemite Peregrine Lodge. This is a clean, well maintained home that offers the ideal home base for your Yosemite experience. Views, mature pines and peace. Please, no smoking, no pets.brbrVonnie, owner and manager, is onsite about 50% of the time. She has a studio space in the back area of the home separate from what is rented to our guests. She will be as available as much as you want her to be for suggestions for your Yosemite adventures, should there be any needs inside the house, for filling you in on the history of the lodge and Yosemite. But she will also never intrude on your space and stay. This is your home away from home!br brAttractions and distancesbrbrThe distance from Yosemite West to famous landmarks are: Badger Pass Ski Area 6.5 miles (10,5 km), Tunnel View 8.3 miles (13,4 km), Bridalveil Falls 9.8 miles (15,8 km), Wawona Hotel 12.4 miles (20 km), Ahwahnee Hotel 15.9 miles (25,6 km), Glacier Point 16.2 miles (26 km) and El Portal 21.7 miles (35 km).brbrOur HomebrbrThe Yosemite Peregrine Lodge is a multi-level 3200 square foot home suitable for couples, families and executive retreats. Unusual for most homes in the Yosemite West community, the Peregrine Lodge is situated on a rather level area. This means you do not have to negotiate the steep stairs that earmark many houses. brbrEntering the home through a door on the same level as the parking, you will find easy access for the unloading of your luggage. There you will find entry to three guest bedrooms. brbrSleeping AccommodationsbrbrEach bedroom has both interior and exterior entries. They each have their own sink and shower, entry to their own private deck area, and a unique and beautiful floor to ceiling fireplace. As an added benefit of the bedrooms being situated on the first level, you will experience privacy from the activity of the upper floor with the great room, dining room, kitchen and loft.br brThis separation and intimate setting makes this home uniquely suited for multiple couples, families or groups to have a space of their own. The unique and cozy rooms are thematic in nature.br brLiving AreabrbrThe main floor features a living room with a floor to ceiling rock fireplace with a design of Yosemite Falls. The plush and comfortable furniture in the great room will embrace you after a long day of exploring the park.brbrHuge soaring windows in the great room opening west affords views of the forest and evening sunsets. brbrA pool table, puzzles and games, satellite TV, DVD players and WIFI. This is an ideal home for those who are seeking upscale luxurious accommodations for family, friends, coworkers or groups.brbrbrWe provide access to laundry, washing machine and 2 dryers. There is also laundry detergent and dryer sheets. However, if you have a favorite laundry detergent or have skin sensitivities, please do bring your own. We are on a community well and are asked to please conserve water usage. Please, no boots or shoes in the washer or dryers. Thanks!brbr brInternet availabilitybrbrThere is WiFi offered at the lodge. We use StarLink which has proven to be such a great advantage being in this remote location. We had such issues in the past with satellite dish and past technologies due to our home being at 6,000 feet elevation and surrounded by tall sugar pines and cedar trees which made it difficult to receive clear signals. We now have unlimited access to the internet. At times, it may be slower than what you might be used to in the big cities or urban areas, but has really been dependable. brbrVerizon is the only cell phone carrier that works in Yosemite West. You will be able to find full coverage for other phone carries plus Wi-Fi Internet in the various hotels and lounges in Yosemite Valley, just a short drive from our location.
