For those of you who love the winter in Yosemite, you will love the easy access to snow and snow activities. We are only 20 minutes by car to the Badger Pass Ski Area for cross country, snow shoeing, snow play, and downhill skiing. On large storms, cross country ski right out from the lodge.

At just over 6000 feet, our lodge will get more snow than the Valley itself. If you want to have a higher probability of being in the snow, you will want to be in Yosemite West.

The benefits of staying at our home inside Yosemite National Park are many. By actually being inside the National Park gates, you avoid the long lines going in and out of the entrance stations.

Returning from a day of rigorous hiking and sauntering in the valley Ice skating at Curry Village Cross country skiing on our groomed and un-groomed trails or Down hill skiing at the local ski resort You will be happy to know home is just a short drive away.

ATTRACTIONS AND DISTANCES

The distance from Yosemite West to famous landmarks are: Badger Pass Ski Area 6.5 miles (10,5 km), Tunnel View 8.3 miles (13,4 km), Bridalveil Falls 9.8 miles (15,8 km), Wawona Hotel 12.4 miles (20 km), The Ahwahnee Hotel 15.9 miles (25,6 km), Glacier Point 16.2 miles (26 km) and El Portal 21.7 miles (35 km).

THE LODGE

The Yosemite Peregrine Lodge is a multi-level 3200 square foot home. We offer the entire home as a vacation rental between May 1 and December 31 each year. During this time the lodge is suitable for couples, families and executive retreats for up to 8 people.

During the winter months, from January until the end of April, the three bedrooms are rented out individually.

Unusual for most homes in the Yosemite West community, the Peregrine Lodge is situated on a rather level area. This means you do not have to negotiate the steep stairs that earmark many houses.

Entering the home through a door on the same level as the parking, you will find easy access to the lodge and our guest rooms.

PARKING

We have guest parking for 3 midsize vehicles in driveway. We cannot accommodate RVs in the winter due to snow and ice conditions.

SLEEPING ACCOMMODATIONS

Each bedroom has both interior and exterior entries. They each have their own sink and shower, entry to their own private deck area, and a unique and beautiful floor to ceiling fireplace.

Our unique and cozy rooms are thematic in nature. The Peregrine Lodge is regarded as a quiet escape and romantic getaway for most of our guests, and we work hard to foster that environment. Therefore, it is not an appropriate place for children under 14. Persons who are not registered guests are not permitted on the property.

Very nice location inside the gates of Yosemite. It is about 8 miles to Tunnel View, which made it a nice easy early morning drive to try for sunrise photos. Nice hot shower and warm nice bed were welcome changes from the few nights of camping earlier in my trip. Nice deck to relax on and recharge with a coffee while downloading photos from the Firefall in Feb 2025.

Unique property in a beautiful area. Room with private bathroom, fireplace, comfortable bed, refrigerator, microwave, easy off street parking on level ground. Most places in YosemiteWest have a long stretch of steep stairs to enter, but Peregrine Lodge has covered entry door into lobby at ground level. WiFi works well, and room was stocked with snacks and coffee. Half mile to the trunoff for Badger Pass and Glacier Point; about 15 minutes to Tunnel View. Highly recommend either one of the private rooms with private bath between January and March, or the entire cabin between April and December.

It was a good location, between two areas of the park we wanted to visit. It was pleasant, clean, and everything worked. The first night, we had people in the room next door with a loud tv up late, but it was quiet otherwise.

Vonnie was so welcoming and accommodating from the start. We ended up booking extra days in the Lodgepole Room because we enjoyed ourselves so much. The view was lovely, the room was cozy, and had everything you might need. Definitely will be back!

You should remember to take a screenshot when they give you the code of the doors because when you get there, there is no service and the messages of the app don't open. The water was White but they left lots of small water bottles. Everything very clean and combortable. Very nice fireplace and balcony. Appreciated a lot the snacks for breakfast.

First of all, I would recommend to anyone to book at Peregrine Lodge from the informative and speedy responses from Vonnie. Any questions I had were responded to within an hour or two from sending. The lodge itself has many pluses as well! The pass-code to enter the main lodge and then my private room made things seamless after arriving late in the day after exploring Yosemite Valley. The room was very cozy with just the essential amenities. everything was clean and ready for us. Most importantly the bed was comfy and the balcony view was perfect to sit back and sip a beer after hiking all day. The proximity to Badger Pass ski area and Yosemite Valley while maintaining a quiet neighborhood (We stayed in winter time so i dont know what summer is like)made this the perfect location to stay in Yosemite while avoiding the high prices and crazy busyness of the actual Valley.

The location of this property was very convenient for spending a few days in the national park. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The view from the deck and the wood fireplace in the room were a great bonus.

My girlfriend and I only stayed 2 nights at Peregrine in the lodge pole room, but I wish we had time to stay longer. It was a wonderful experience and Vonnie is super helpful and responsive. The room is cozy with a real cabin feel with tasteful NWestern touches and the the fireplace was amazing, we took full advantage of it. A very comfortable room to stay in with a big bed. Yosemite west is a short beautiful drive to the Yosemite valley down along Wawona Rd, where you’ll pass the famous lookout below Yosemite tunnel where you can see the most incredible vista on your way down to or on your way home from the valley - naturally sunset and sunrise are amazing times to stop at this lookout. Would love to stay again one day.
