If these items are crucial to the success of your vacation, we recommend bringing them along to ensure you have everything you need. We try to clearly state this in the listing so there are no surprises. brbrLinens: Did you know that our vacation homes are among the few in the Yosemite area to feature professionally laundered linens For every reservation, all linens are cleaned in commercial-grade washers using hypoallergenic detergent that's stronger and more effective than typical residential options. It's an extra step we take to provide a truly clean, comfortable, and welcoming stay.brbrFireplace/Firepits: No open wood-burning fire pits, bonfires, or campfires are permitted at short-term rentals. Charcoal grills of any type are strictly prohibited. Guests shall not bring any personal grills, barbeques, or other outdoor cooking apparatuses to the short-term rental; only those grills, barbeques, or other outdoor cooking apparatuses provided with the short-term rental are permitted to be used as installed and in the location installed. brbrNo Pets: We love animals but unfortunately, this home is not pet-friendly. This helps us protect guests with allergies. If you're traveling with a furry friend, let us know — we'll be happy to recommend one of our pet-friendly Love Yosemite! properties nearby.brbrParking: There is enough parking for 4-5 cars at this property. The garage is unavailable to guests, as it is used for owner storage. We appreciate you not exceeding the maximum parking limit. Many of the local roads are privately owned and privately maintained. Please be mindful to obey speed laws and drive slowly in residential neighborhoods!brbrGarbage: Garbage truck service is not available in this area. Yosemite Park requires visitors to pack out their garbage. There are several free bear proof dumpsters within walking distance of the cabin where you can dispose of your garbage.brbrSecurity Cameras: There are external only cameras on the premises that face certain entrance points of the home.brbrSnow Chains: California Highway Patrol and the National Park Service may require chains in wintery/snowy/icy conditions. Please note that as hosts, we cannot protect your trip from flight delays, illnesses, weather, job loss, or other circumstances that may prevent you from making your trip. We truly wish we could! It's a nominal cost that can absolutely pay off!brbrMail: Due to locked neighborhood mailboxes, we ask you not mail anything to the property. You are most welcome to mail items to our office (Love Yosemite! Vacation Rentals) in Oakhurst. Please reach out to us to make arrangements.brbrPests: Please note that this property is nestled in the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains, offering a wonderful connection to nature. (11N) Margaret's at The Redwoods In Yosemite

Yosemite National Park, California, United States

Margaret's cabin by the river is a 3 bedroom 2 bath cabin that sleeps up to 8 people.brIf you want a taste of Yosemite from your living room chair…come to Margaret's Cabin in the tiny community of Wawona just inside Yosemite National Park. Nestled amongst the towering pines and wispy cedars on Chilnualna Lane, this sunlit retreat will fill you with a deep sense of rest and quiet appreciation. The living room's floor-to-ceiling windows offer a view of the forest and the river beyond. Nature is just a pane of glass away. While sipping morning tea, you may watch the squirrels scampering across the pine needles, the blackbirds winging through the trees, the spring wildflowers in the native grass, or an occasional coyote crossing the land. In the summer, you may gather your beach chair, towel, and inner tube and take a 2-minute walk down a dirt path to the jumping rock and swimming hole on the South Fork of the Merced River. In winter, you may come in from skiing at nearby Badger Pass, warm your hands with a steaming beverage, and watch the snowflakes sifting down while preparing supper. br Margaret, a teacher, worked summers during the '50s at the Wawona Hotel and saved enough to buy two adjacent lots at the end of Chilnualna Lane. She built a tiny, one-bedroom cabin that she visited often to fish, golf, and enjoy nature with friends and family. When the original house burned down in 2018, her family envisioned a new cabin offering the same cozy feeling but with a southern-facing great room and kitchen, letting in more light and giving a bigger view of nature. No Pets Allowed. EV Charging Station available within five miles of the cabinbrbr3 Bedrooms - 2 Bathrooms - Sleeps 8 - 2 Story - Gold Rated - 1342 Sq. Ft. - 350 Sq.
