As long-time locals (thirty plus years), we are always available to assist with your stay, ensuring a seamless and memorable Tahoe experience from booking to check-out. Guest must agree to read and comply with Placer County's Good Neighbor Policies.brbrCounty RulesbrAs part of the Short-Term Rental Permit for this home, the county asks that we share the important rules and regulations with you. All cars, boats, and trailers must be parked in the garage and/or driveway.brbrQuiet Hours: Quiet hours are 9pm-8am, seven days a week. Per the County: No sound may be audible from the property line during quiet hours. Amplified sound (such as speakers) shall not be used outside or be audible from the parcel line of any short-term rental at any time.brbrLights Out: All exterior lights must be turned off that are not needed for safety or other outdoor use to the extent that such other outdoor use is not an unreasonable nuisance to neighbors at night.brbrRed Flag Warnings: Due to high risk of wildfire in our area, bonfires, charcoal barbecues, and wood-burning fire pits are always prohibited. On designated Red Flag Warning Days—when fire danger is especially severe due to dry conditions and high winds—all outdoor fires are prohibited, including gas grills and gas fire pits. These restrictions come directly from the North Tahoe Fire Protection District and must be followed for everyone's safety. It is each guest's responsibility to stay informed about Red Flag Warnings. They are announced on local news, radio, and social media, and you'll also see signs posted at fire stations throughout the area.brbrWinter Driving: Many highways, access roads, and driveways in the Tahoe area can become icy during the winter. For your safety, it's essential that between November 1st and April 30th your vehicle is winter-ready. Make sure brakes, windshield wipers, defroster, heater, and exhaust system are in top condition. Tires should be properly inflated with excellent tread, and you should always carry tire chains—even if you have an AWD/4WD vehicle. Double-check that your chains fit your tires and are in good working order. On many state highways and county roads, four-wheel drive and snow tires are required for safe travel.brPlease be prepared for winter conditions: dress appropriately, stay in bounds at ski resorts and if you get lost, remain in place.brbrGarbage & Bears: Please do not feed the bears. Black bears are very common in this area and, over time, many have become used to human food and trash. Because they no longer have a natural fear of people, you may see them during your spring, summer, or fall stay. Feeding bears is illegal, and leaving food outside, trash unsecured, or doors and windows unlocked can lead to serious property damage to both homes and vehicles. To help prevent this, all waste must be placed in bear-proof bins or dumpsters and the latches secured. Placer County sorts recycling from the waste for you at our materials recovery facilities.brbrOffice Holiday HoursbrThe TTVR office is closed on New Year's Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. The kitchen is very well stocked, location is fabulous, and we had so much fun exploring the woods behind the cabin. Highly recommend!br brWe just returned from a fabulous extended weekend at North Lake Tahoe where we stayed at the Tahoe Vista Cabin. For starters, every communication with the owner - from getting our questions answered before our trip to checking out yesterday, was timely, friendly, and helpful. The house was a great match for our 5 person family (with 11-year old twins and their grandmother) and exceeded our already high expectations which we had based on the description of the property. We love to cook and found everything we needed from the superbly stocked and equipped kitchen to the BBQ setup and tools. The location is fabulous, in a quiet cul-de-sac near a creek yet only about 5 walking minutes away from the beach. The kids loved the spacious backyard, creek, basketball hoop, and choice of games (the special checkers board was a big hit). Everything was nice, working well, and very comfortable. In addition, there are tons of fun things to do around - for example, we spent several hours tree climbing with North Tahoe Adventures on their treetop adventures park near Tahoe City, and enjoyed the gorgeous scenery for many hours on the beaches, including renting kayaks and stand-up paddle boards out of Kings Beach. The Moondunes Beach close to the house is lovely - quieter than Kings Beach, very shallow and thus safe with kids. And there is nothing better than going for a nice ice cream at the close by Cable Car Ice Cream stand after returning from the beach!brOverall we had a great time and will definitely be back. After several trips to South Lake Tahoe in the past we now have found a great destination at North Lake Tahoe.br brThe owner responded to my request to book pretty much immediately and was communicating very clearly prior to and throughout our stay. The cabin is exactly how it is described and so it the neighborhood. We stayed with kids ages ranging from 7 to 18 and everyone loved the cabin and the location. We walked to the beach, on the trails right outside of the house, walked to town and did not need to drive anywhere! The stay was perfect and we hope to be back.br br brOur weekend trip to the Tahoe Vista Forest Cabin was absolutely wonderful! The cabin is warm and cozy and has all the amenities needed for a perfect vacation. It's next to open forest land and just a short walk down to the Lake. The host was extremely responsive to any questions we had. Great location, cabin, and overall experience. We can't wait to go back!br brOur stay was very comfortable, the cabin is very cozy, clean and well located and has everything needed for a great holiday. We highly recommend.br br“Great time, great location!”brWe loved our stay at this cabin. This was our first time at Tahoe and was beautiful. The cabin was very homey and comfortable. It easily accomadated our family of 2 adults and 3 children. The kids really enjoyed the toys. It was like we were staying at a friends house for a long weekend. The owners were very easy to work with, and we had no issues through the whole process. We highly recommend this rental!br brThe Tahoe Vista Cabin was the perfect spot for my friends and I to get together, enjoy the beauty of Tahoe, and ski at northstar. The cabin is in a very accessible location but it also has the feel of being away from everything in the woods. It is within walking distance to the lake. The view from the cabin is gorgeous. The house itself was very comfortable and cozy. It definitely had that extra something. The fireplace was heavenly, the shower head was luxurious, and the pullout couch was really comfortable (they put a great down topper on it). Brian was an excellent host. He was quick to respond, answered all questions fast, provided clear and concise information, and really went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. I now have no reason to look anywhere else for a great place to stay in Tahoe. Can't wait to come back in the summer!br brWe booked this cabin for a group of 8 people and it was the perfect size for everyone. There were enough beds for everyone to sleep comfortably (including the pull-out bed in the living room). The neighborhood was very safe and quiet at night, although a neighbor did warn us about coyotes in the early morning/late evening, so be careful if you're bringing pets along. I must mention: this cabin is stocked with EVERYTHING. Literally, everything! The kitchen has pots, pants, baking utensils, dinnerware of all shapes and sizes. If you are bringing children along, there is a play room and a bunch of board games. There is a laundry room in the back that is great if you have any wet clothing items. This is the ideal space for a small (less than 10 people) group, and especially for those who might want to bring their kids along.br brJust had a fantastic stay at the Tahoe Vista cabin during Christmas week. It's very conveniently located near the 267 / 28 junction, but also far enough from the noise of cars to get some solitude. There are plenty of trails steps away from the cabin. The cabin was perfect for our family of 4 and was equipped with everything you needed for a good week of family time. Netflix, board games, really good coffee complaints. The owners were very communicative and helpful as well. Highly recommended, great value. br brWe had a great weekend at the cabin - it was very clean and well stocked, with clear instructions on how things worked and where to find them. We would love to stay again!br brAwesome cabin! nice mix of updated features and rustic-ness. Fireplace was great. I have to admit even the netflix connected blu-ray player was great! Smooth arrival and departure procedures!br brThe owners were great hosts! We made a trip to Tahoe during Martin Luther King long weekends but we still need to go to work on Monday. They were flexible enough to reduce the minimum night of stay from 3 nights to 2 nights for us, which was superb. The Cabin is equipped with everything you need. And they provided us with a very lovely instruction menu prior our arrival. The Cabin was warm and there was a awesome fire place in the living room. br brWe enjoyed our stay at the Tahoe Vista Cabin. Great location at the edge of a forested area and proximity to many Tahoe amenities. Cabin was clean and inviting. Well-stocked kitchen was great for cooking dinner one evening. I'm all for building a roaring wood fire, but the remote-controlled gas fireplace won me over as a favorite feature! Would definitely return for a North Lake trip in the future. br brWarm, cozy and comfortable! We appreciate how well stocked the kitchen was with pots, pans and everything you could need!br brWonderful experience! The cabin was nice and cozy, really well organized and prepared for our family. I will recommend it to others and come back again.br brMy family and I had a great time at the cabin. Centrally located to northstar and the beach. The Tahoe Vista Cabin was very cute with a homey feeling .br brWe had a wonderful time at this home. The location is wonderful, backed up against the woods. The trail to the lake is through those same woods and is a nice 5 min walk to a large beach. The house is at the end of a quiet street so when you're relaxing outside, all you hear is the sound of nature. We would definitely stay here again.br brOur weekend trip to the Tahoe Vista Forest Cabin was absolutely wonderful! The cabin is warm and cozy and has all the amenities needed for a perfect vacation. It's next to open forest land and just a short walk down to the Lake. The host was extremely responsive to any questions we had. Great location, cabin, and overall experience.
