The camera is focused on the entryway and driveway for security, snow build up and bear monitoring purposes. brbrOUR NEIGHBORS-brTahoe is a place designed for quiet relaxation and tranquility. We follow all rules and regulations from Placer County, which means no outside noise from 9pm to 8am. This will be monitored by the County Code Enforcement and sadly means no one can be outside on the decks past 9pm or there will be a severe fine :( This cabin is in a residential area and we expect all of our guests to RESPECT our neighbors.brbrOUR BEAR FRIENDS-brBear sighting and break-ins are common. They love to find a tasty snack anywhere that they can, including cars! We have electric bear wires on the perimeter of the house to deter bear visits. Details to prevent bear activity and how to turn off the wire system will be provided with your Welcome letter.brbrWEATHER: - No refunds for weather/natural disasters/power outages/other things that are beyond our control. The summer and fall are in the fire season. In the event of bad air quality outside due to fires that are not a threat to the general area, our cancellation policy still stands. Local residents routinely report violators to the local Sheriff’s Department, without warning. Bears that enter a residence, garage, or vehicle are subject to euthanasia by the Department of Fish & Game. Please know that it is against State Law to leave any type of trash or wildlife attractant unattended. Therefore, all trash and recycling must always be securely placed inside the locked metal container (bear box) located at the end of the driveway. Overflow garbage and recycling must be taken off-site by the Guests and never left in a garage, vehicle, near a door or window, or any other unsecured outdoor location. Guests assume financial responsibility for all violations of the law. Local and State fines for improper storage and/or disposal range between $1,500 and $5,000 per occurrence. In addition, should a violation of this policy occur, your reservation will be immediately terminated, you will forfeit all fees paid, and the Property Owners will be entitled to reimbursement by the Guests for loss of revenue due to revocation of their Short Term Rental Permit.brbr08. Gorgeous windows, a deck and Hot Tub in the forest bring nature in at every angle.brbrExperience our serene, cozy cabin and you will never want to leave!brbrYou’ll have the entire cabin to yourself (1,213 square feet) including 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, kitchen, dining, and living spaces. There is also a dedicated office nook in the second bedroom with a printer, Zoom light and lightning-fast WiFi. Outdoor deck with gas bbq, hot tub, dining table, and outdoor sofa and lounge chairs! House is set on greenbelt and forested conservancy lot with tons of room to play!brbrThe bathrooms are currently vintage Tahoe style, but sparkling clean with fluffy white towels. They will be undergoing a full remodel in 2023 and photos will updated accordingly.brbrPARKING:br1 spot in the garage - should fit a regular SUV like a Toyota Highlander without a roof box.br2 spots in the driveway.brThere is no street parking allowed during the winter. Please keep an eye out for the driveway plow - they come early - to move vehicles to allow for full driveway clearing. brbrSECURITY CAMERAS:brWe have 24/7 video/audio security cameras on the exterior of property. They are located at the front driveway (facing the driveway but not showing front stairs) and back deck (facing our back deck, does NOT have a view of the hot tub or inside the house). These are security cameras focused on the entryways to monitor bears and packages and designed to maintain privacy while enjoying our home. You may request to disable the back deck camera during your stay.brbrGUESTS: Only the guests on the confirmed Airbnb reservation are allowed on the property and in the cabin. Extra guests must be approved by owners in advance of the reservation and are subject to additional fees.brbrNO PETS:brWe are NOT pet-friendly. If we find any evidence of pets in the home, you will lose your security deposit and possibly incur additional cleaning fees. brbrBEAR WIRE:brThere are bears in Lake Tahoe and we have electric bear wire around the property to avoid break-ins. You’ll see electric wires at the windows and doors. Instructions to turn off the bear wire will be provided in your welcome letter.brbrCLEANING FEE: The cleaning fee covers normal turnover cleaning (e.g. bedding and laundry turn over, surfaces, floors, snow removal, etc.). Additional cleaning fees may be incurred for excessive mess (e.g. excessive dishes, melted snow or mud inside or carpet stains, etc)brbrWINTER SNOW SEASON: During the winter snow season the West Shore of Lake Tahoe can see a very large snow accumulation. 4 wheel drive vehicles are highly recommended. We have a driveway plow service that comes every snowfall (of 6 inches or more) to clear the driveway. Please note that snowfall can continue to accumulate between clearing service and your arrival. We do provide shovels for your use if necessary. If heavy snowfall happens during your stay and additional shoveling help is necessary, please give us a call and we may be able to arrange some assistance for an extra fee. Due to heavy snow accumulation in the area, the decks are not completely cleared and only pathway access is maintained.
