The main bicycle trail runs along our side of Rt. 93 passes right by the Stanford Inn on its way into Fernie. It can easily be accessed from our townhouse by bicycle after an easy 5 minute ride. This trail is smooth and on a gentle gradient that is great for seniors, children or others seeking a scenic, low intensity ride that follows the Elk river northward into town.brbrAttention Fisherman! It is only a 5 minute walk to some great pool and riffles on the Elk River. Each room has a thermostat where you can control the temperature.brbrCOMING JUNE 2023 - You will also find bike storage that can accommodate up to 12 bikes.brbrENTRANCEbrThere is an igloo lock on the front door that leads to the large entrance. This area is shared with the owner. You can put skis and boards into the garage during your stay: just used the left-hand door in the entrance area. To access the unit, go up the stairs.brbrMAIN FLOORbrYou enter the unit into a light-filled, high-ceiling, open-plan living space. Most of the walls have wood paneling for those cabin vibes. There are large windows with amazing views, so make sure you curl up on the sofa and take it all in! There is a comfortable lounge area where you will find a remote-controlled gas fireplace, and a large TV with Netflix. The large dining table seats ten guests, plus there is additional bar seating at the kitchen counter. The extra chairs can be found in the master bedroom closet. The kitchen is a chef's delight. With all the large and small appliances you would expect from a family home, you will enjoy whipping up a light snack or hearty meal during your stay. There is a supply of salt, pepper, cooking oil, and fresh coffee beans for your use during your stay. Despite the high end decor and furnishings, you will quickly feel at home here.brbrWhen you walk into Snow Creek you need to walk to the fireplace, and then look left. Our unit is just down the corridor.brbrAs you enter the unit you are immediately greeted with high ceilings and a sense of space and beauty. The kitchen area is to your left, the living space in front of you, and the dual sleeping area with shower room to your right.brbrKITCHENbrThe rather beautiful and fully equipped kitchen has everything you could need to whip up a light snack or hearty meal. There are all the large appliances you would expect in a family kitchen: microwave, oven, cook top, dishwasher, and fridge/freezer. Additionally, there are all the small appliances you would expect along with all the pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen essentials. We also supply salt, pepper, cooking oil, and fresh coffee beans for your use. Don't worry, we make sure you have a coffee bean grinder and coffee machine. Just bring your whitener of choice for that morning coffee!brbrDINING AND LIVING SPACEbrNext to the kitchen is the dining table with chairs and bench. This is nicely positioned next to the beautiful lounge area. There is a large TV, plenty of seating, and nice views. There is also a door to the private balcony. This is a great location to enjoy that morning coffee and watch the sun rise.brbrBEDROOMSbrThere are two sleeping quarters in this designer condo. The master bedroom with ensuite is located through the kitchen area. There is a barn door for privacy, and the room is beautifully staged. The ensuite has a large rain shower, and we will provide hotel quality towels, and locally made hand soap and body wash/shampoo for your use.brbrAcross the other side of the condo there is a dual sleeping zone, with pocket doors for extra privacy. As you walk into the sleeping area you will see a set of twin bunk beds to your right. In front of these beds is a thick and heavy, floor to ceiling curtain for privacy (see photos). Next to this sleeping area is the queen bedroom. There are pocket doors separating the areas. brbrSHOWER ROOMbrNext to the bunk area is the second shower room. Hotel quality towels and locally made hand soap and body wash are provided for you.brbrCOMMUNAL AREAS OF SNOW CREEKbrThere are a number of great areas for you to relax and enjoy your stay at Snow Creek. On the main floor there are reading nooks, seating areas, couches, and wonderful ski hill views. Outside on the terrace you will find the communal BBQs. If you venture downstairs you will find the locker room, gym, and door to the heated outdoor pool, and outdoor tubs. Please remember your key card as you will need this to access all the guest areas. As you pull off highway three into a short lane that leads to our house you will immediately notice the wonderful surroundings and amazing views. The entrance door has a sign and an igloo lock. You'll find the secure nine digit code in your welcome email. brbrGROUND FLOORbrYou enter into the mudroom where you'll find plenty of space for coats, shoes, and sporting equipment, along with the in suite laundry facilities. Also on this floor you will find a small double bedroom and washroom with shower. You'll also find a coat rack, two bedside tables, and two lamps in the ground floor bedroom. Finally, there are stairs to the main floor.brbrMAIN LIVING SPACEbrAt the top of the stairs there is a family bathroom with a shower over the tub. immediately to your right is the lounge area with large windows and high vaulted ceilings. The large curved sofa has plenty of space for the whole family to curl up and watch their favourite movie on the large wall mounted TV. If a little more seating space is required, then there is an extra sofa. Behind the lounge area is a large dining table with 6 chairs. brbrKITCHENbrThere is a large corner kitchen equipped with everything you could need during your stay. There are small and large appliances, along with salt, pepper, cooking oil, and fresh coffee beans. You'll also find an air fryer in the cupboards and a couple of other extra small appliances that you can use.brbrBEDROOMSbrJust off the main living space you will find two bedrooms. One has two twin beds with a small closet, and the other is the master bedroom with double bed, closet, and drawer space. brbrTHE DECKbrThe large deck is accessed just off the lounge area. There are two benches that can join together to make a picnic table. This space is absolutely perfect for your morning coffee, evening drink, and all the meals in between. Within the kitchen area is a lovely sized island with seating for two people.brbrThe lounge area is a comfortable space with plenty of seating, large smart TV, and a gas stove for the suite's heating. This is the perfect place to relax in after a busy day in Fernie.brbrThe bathroom has a lovely large walk-in shower. We supply hotel quality towels and locally made hand soap and body wash/shampoo for you to use during your stay.brbrBehind a dividing wall you will find the welcoming queen bed with side tables and wardrobe. The window has blackout blinds to help with reducing the light during the summer months. Walk through your own front door on the first floor and relax in front of the fire or in the hot tub on the deck which overlooks a forest to the rear of the property.brbrThe condo features a fully equipped kitchen, but a night out in downtown Fernie is a 10 minute drive away, with tons of great restaurants and bars to choose from. The main bedroom features a new king-size bed and ensuite with bath and shower. The second bedroom features a bunk-bed, double on the bottom and single top bunk, with a trundle added below. The open plan kitchen, dining and living area is perfect for socializing and leads to the deck with BBQ at the rear of the property.
