The road to this cabin is not paved and is stone and dirt. Driving slow to reach the cottage is highly recommended. When there is snow on the ground, a 4x4 is necessary to reach the cottage. If you have a very low sitting vehicle, you may have issues getting to the cabin.brbrIf you have mobility issues, renting this property would not be recommended. brbrPlease note, this property is located on a working farm. While the cabin itself if fence in, you are likely to wake up to cattle outside, along with Duke the Donkey. The cattle will not try to approach you or your vehicle. Duke does like to eat out of your hand-after he gets over his shyness!brbrAdditionally, this property is located in a town steeped in railroad history. Occasionally, you will hear trains. On clear nights, you can see the Milky Way.brbrThe sofa bed allows for double-date trips to the Shenandoah Valley, or you can bring the whole family along. brbrWe have the highest speed package available from Viasat. Download speeds are comparable to what you have at home, but upload speeds will seem a bit slower. During inclement weather, we may lose some performance. Once you get up the driveway, do not turn right toward the lodge, but instead drive straight until your reach your designated parking area.brbrWe are in the woods. We share those woods with critters of all kinds. Chiefly, stink bugs are rampant in the entire Shenandoah Valley right now. If you are not from the area, they are brown and flat in appearance. A professional service treats our home monthly, but we cannot prevent bugs from entering the cabin during your stay. It is a product of being in nature. We cannot spray the entirety of the forest, and we wouldn't want to - our local pollinators are important! Thank you for your understanding.brOur home is located on a private road. It is pertinent that you follow the photo directions to arrive to our location. Do not use Apple Maps or Waze as they will take you the wrong way. brbrPlease do not wander off of our property while staying with us. Our neighbors have a right to privacy.
