Our Contemporary Ski House is less than 4 miles from Okemo Mountain Resort. It is situated on 10 private acres in the South Hill section of Ludlow, VT with lovely views of Okemo Mountain. brbrBefore we built our house we rented a lot of others and this is what we learned from them: brbrThere's a large mudroom for skis, boots, boards and coats. Please leave your shoes here - it keeps the rest of the floors clean and dry!br brThe kitchen is large and open to the family room with a big island. It is well-stocked with everything from cookie sheets to cork screws. There are filters for the drip coffee maker, the spice cabinet is equipped with most anything you'll need to make a great meal. br brThe family room has a wood stove, xFinity TV and lots of seating (don't you hate those houses that sleep 12 but only seat 3 ). We've even got a mitten and hat warmer (dryer) on the hearth next to the wood stove. br brThere are 3 full baths with plenty of hot water (we've never run out), so no one has to wait to take a shower after a long day of skiing / boarding / sledding.br brThere are 4 bedrooms (3 have queen size beds, 1 has two combo futon / bunk beds) and there's also a sleeping loft with 2 double futons and 3 twin platform beds complete with lots of blankets and pillows. Linen service (sheets, pillow cases and towels) is available for an extra fee or you can bring your own and save $.br brThere's a large driveway that can handle 5 cars without the need to jockey them around when someone needs to get out. br brThere's DRY firewood stacked inside on a rack in the mudroom along with buckets of kindling and more in a shed and racks outside next to the driveway.

The best of both worlds!!brbrIn the winter, ice skate, snowmobile (VAST trails) or snowshoe right from the front door. Okemo is 5 minutes (Jackson Gore is even less!), Killington is 25 minutes and Pico is about 30 minutes away. In the evening, gather for a meal, games or a movie. A large, see through fireplace adds warmth and charm to both living room and kitchen/dining room!brbrIn the fall, grab a blanket and a cup of coffee and head out to the Adirondack chairs to watch the mist rise off the lake and listen to the geese fly overhead. brbrThe main floor has a bedroom with double bed and a bedroom with a twin.
