There is NO Laundry Access.brbrThe Neighborhood:brThe Belmont District which is located in Southeast Portland, runs along Belmont Street from about 31st to 60th Avenues. Interestingly, the Belmont District is actually located in the Sunnyside neighborhood and the property falls right in the middle of the Sunnyside neighborhood and boarder the hip Hawthorn District. The Sunnyside District area is a very popular area in SE Portland. Known to most as Belmont, Sunnyside has a strong sense of Portland individuality. Sunnyside has many locally owned coffee shops, markets, and distinctive shops and restaurants. Belmont Street is a favorite destination for many locals, whether it`s for an afternoon at the Avalon Arcade, a night at the Blue Monk, or a cup of coffee at the neighborhood cafe. This area has a nice mix of urban diversity, with a funky feel, and local color. You might often hear The South East Belmont neighborhood is diverse and eclectic, and a neighborhood's neighborhood. brOh, but there's plenty of places to go in the Belmont District, make no mistake. Go get a boffo breakfast at Utopia Cafe, or sit and salivate over a great burger at Dick's Kitchen. Take a walk down the sidewalk later in the evening to have a drink or three at Aalto Lounge, or at Blue Monk where you can also listen to a good band play or watch some belly dancing (Yup! Belly dancing!). And you must experience The Pied Cow (3244 SE Belmont St), a favorite Portland coffeehouse in a “painted lady” Victorian with a nice big side yard where you can sip the brew (coffee or beer) of your choice and have a huff on a hookah if you're into that.brbrGetting Around:brTo have an authentic Portland experience, there is no need to leave the neighborhood. Shopping, dining and entertainment are abundant. This is very urban area convenient for walking, biking or using public transportation. Portland also has a wonderful Bike Share BIKETOWN located all over Portland Metro. You could get around efficiently with an UBER. Public Transportation is close by with a bus stop only a few minute walk from the house. You can use the buses and the MAX light rail to get anywhere in Portland Metro. Great Coffee, dining and a grocery store all less than half a mile from the homebrbrOther Things to Note:brPortland City Code requires that we keep a log with the Name, Address and Vehicle Information for ALL adult guests. This will be required before check in. If you are renting a vehicle, we will need the License Plate number or we will need to note alternate transportation (ie; air, train, bike) Please provide this information with your confirmed booking and check that you are booked for the correct number of guests. br- No additional guests and visitors/guests that are not registered on the reservation booking are allowed to be on the property after 10pm. br- No PETS allowed at this property at any time. br- Smoking anywhere on the property will result in forfeiture of your entire deposit plus can result in additional fees up to $500 for smoke removal.br- Self Check In using electronic lock. This spacious, completely furnished, two-bedroom apartment is in Southwest Portland, conveniently located just six minutes from Portland State University (PSU) and Oregon Health & Sciences University (OHSU). A block away is a bus stop with frequent buses to downtown, the MAX light rail line, and to Lewis and Clark College. It's a short walk to the tram that connects to OHSU. The well-known Elephant's Deli is close by, about a half mile down Corbett Ave. The apartment is close to the South Waterfront, several parks, and nearby shopping centers and restaurants. It is practically downtown, yet situated on a quiet street with no outlet. This means practically no traffic in this safe neighborhood. Bring your bike and store it safely on your private deck. brbrThe surroundings are park like, with trees providing shade in the summer. In winter, when leaves are off the trees, there's a view through to the Willamette River. Comfortable outdoor chairs on the deck invite you to sip your morning coffee or enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. You'll have all the amenities of the city yet feel as if you're staying in a tree house. For your convenience, you'll have off street parking in your dedicated parking space. brbrLiving room: Lots of windows. Smart TV. Coffee table. Access to private balcony with outdoor chairs and coffee table. brbrKitchen: Light filled breakfast nook with a table seating up to four. There's a four burner stove and oven. It is my goal to make sure that I am as transparent as possible up front so that you can make the best choice for yourself on where you would like to stay. brbrPET POLICY: I've recently begun accepting pets, as scary of a risk that is for me! All pets must be approved in advance. You must confirm that the animal has no history of property destruction, indoor urination/defecation, aggression, or excessive noise. I expect you to have the animal with you or crated when you're not home. In order to maintain an allergen-low environment for other guests, I have our cleaners do deep cleans after every animal stays there and hire a carpet / upholstery cleaner if necessary. Any undisclosed pet will result in a large penalty. FEES: Dogs and cats: 14 days or less: $100 // 15 days or more: $200. This fee does not cover any damages caused by the pet that result in excessive cleaning or repairs brbrESAs / Service animals: If you have an ESA animal please send me a copy of the paperwork including the letter from your healthcare provider. If you have a service animal trained to help you with a disability, I will be asking you the following legally allowable questions: 1) Is the service animal required because of a disability 2) What work or task has the animal been trained to perform (Your disability does not need to be disclosed)brbrNOISE: No excessive / sustained noise allowed. No parties. No yelling. Quiet hours are 10pm to 8am. This building is well insulated, but you do have neighbors above you and beside you. You may likely hear muffled voices, muffled music, occasional muffled dog barks, and people coming and going from the building in the shared stairwell. You may also see other tenants on their (separate) balconies. Also, with the doors and windows closed, you will not hear the highway. However, when you open the doors, you will hear the far-off sound of highway noise -- not individual cars or trucks (more like the ocean ;-))brbrNO SMOKING: No smoking anywhere on the property, not even the balcony. Smoke travels to other tenants' apartments.brbrCLEANING: Sometimes a cleaner does a poor job and it catches me (and you!) off guard. Please let me know if the cleaner missed something(s) important and allow us to fix the issue. I assure you that we strongly value cleanliness and any lack of cleanliness is not on purpose. I do want to advise, however, that this apartment was built in the 1970s and there is only so much you can do about regular wear and tear aside from an apartment remodel. So, I please ask that you keep this in mind when booking. I do not have luxury rentals – just cozy, clean, lived in spaces.
