Fantastic Bungalow with Hot tub, Decks, Close to everything, modern and clean

This is a completely remodeled Craftsman Bungalow with lots of great outdoor and indoor space. There are many separate cool outdoor and indoor spaces to gather or find solitude. It was extensively updated in May 2021, It's within minutes of downtown and features a beautiful kitchen, hot tub, 70 inch TV Room, Sonos System, x box, TV upstairs, surround sound, 1 go fiber internet, theater downstairs, bedrooms and plenty of room to spread out. There is a 600 Square foot Deck overlooking the Backyard and surroundings on the main floor and even an outside TV. There are two bedrooms with Queen beds upstairs. The upstairs bathroom is Jack andJill style meaning it is directly accessed through the bedrooms but not the hallway. There is another bed with a queen bed in the daylight basement on the other side of the TV Room. My house is located within steps to a gourmet grocery store, restaurants, dispensaries, and a block from the River and Willamette park.brbrInside the home you'll find three full baths. We have one clawfoot tub and designer tile and recessed lighting throughout all done to period. There's a great lighted arbor in front where you'll get a nice feel for the Portland experience and friendly people.brbrSome great activities and stores are within walking distance to this house. We are one block away from the river. Also, Zupan's gourmet grocery store is fifty yards away. Willamette Park and the river are 2 blocks away. There are tennis courts, playgrounds, a boat dock, and bike path there. There's a place to rent paddle boards a block away.brbrThis home is ideal for a family. brbrThere is a Ring Video camera doorbell on the outside of the front door, garage, shop, and on the door of the ADU in the backyard.brbrThere is a small 200 square foot Private office on the back of the property which guests won't have access to and is completely fenced and shielded from the main house through gates. In that case you wouldn’t have access to the full backyard behind the bamboo fences which close as that would be my emergency shelter. That is unlikely. You're welcome to double check with me if that is of a concern . There is an outdoor fire pit, a larger section of yard, a covered deck. brbr3 day minimum on Federal Holidays next to a weekend. If you’re a nervous traveler, don’t like driving in the wind, rain, or snow, are concerned with your health please purchase trip insurance. And the Woodburn Outlet Mall is a quick 15 minute drive.brbrNew for 2023: We are inviting responsible pet owners to bring up to 2 dogs during your stay. The pet fee is $150 PER DOG. Please indicate when booking: if you are bringing a dog and how many dogs. If more than one you will be sent a request to pay the additional $150 as VRBO only charges per pet. Dogs cannot be left alone barking. For your business needs free high speed wireless internet is available.brbrThe kitchenette is fully equipped with all you might need to create your meals and a gas BBQ awaits the chef out on the patio. Please note that we do not have an oven available. Seating is available both indoors and out. We will be happy to provide you with a list of our kitchen inventory to help your planning.brbrThe bathroom has a walk-in shower with a skylight in the shower. You will find our Garden Studio cozy, but with room for everything.brThe studio is attached to the home, the entry is private to our guests only.brMobility Impaired Friendly: From the driveway to the the studio, the terrain is flat, with one-step curb onto the deck. The entry doorway is 36 inches wide. There are no stairs inside, the shower is walk-in, with a 5 threshold. Not wheelchair accessible, although toilet is the higher model. Outside: there are 4 wide steps down from the deck to the patio area where the hot tub, BBQ, picnic table and swing are located.brbrA light footprintbrbrIn creating our Portland Garden Studio, one of our goals was to recycle and re-purpose as much as possible. We had fun doing it and thought we’d share this list with our guests:brbr*The masonry for the patio came from a Portland school when they updated.brbr*The rocks that surround the patio were buried in the gardens here from the ‘50s.brbr*The decking was removed from Rob’s brother’s house and reinstalled.brbr*The deck framing and masonry supports came from a Craig’s List ad - the owners were re-designing their back yard.brbr*The ceiling in the apartment is original. We removed the sheetrock, painted the beams, and left the fir attic decking alone. If you look carefully at the ceiling you’ll see the blue grading marks on the lumber from 1945 or so: 3,3,3,2,3 etc.brbr*The wood frames inside the wall niches came from old cedar barn wood.brbr*In early 2015, we installed a photovoltaic solar panel system on the roof. You can’t see it from the driveway or the guest side of the house, but it produces enough electricity to power almost all the needs of the house, including the hot tub.brbrWe try to not use any herbicides, and recycle just about everything that the recycling people will take.brbrCome on over. Or you can walk 0.4 mile from the MAX train 60th stop to my home. brbrTriMet Bus and MAX Light Rail (train) Access brOne 2.5 hour fare is $2.80 or $5.60 for an all day pass. Half price for senior/youth. If you download the Trimet Hop app, you can purchase tickets through the app and show your phone to the driver. Beats looking for exact change! brThe Route 20 bus stop is just 1 block away, easily taking you into the downtown area in about 20 minutes. brThe Route 71 bus stop is just 1 block away, if you want to ride to the 60th Ave MAX Station or take the bus to Clackamas Town Center.brbrThe NE 60th Ave MAX Station brLocated .4 mile from my home. It serves the Red, Blue and Green lines providing easy access to almost anywhere in Portland.brbrYou can also use Uber or Lyft (these are ride sharing services - they are the equivalent of a taxi) to inexpensively get around Portland. You will need to download the apps to your cell phone to use them. Let me know if you want to use these and I can send you a link for free credits if you are a new user.brbrBy Car brIf you have a car, it is really easy to get from my place to most of Portland. Downtown is about 10 minutes. Lloyd Center is 10 minutes. Airport is 10-12 minutes. There is free ample street parking at my location. brBikes brPortland is the most bike friendly city in the country! Portland has great bike and scenic routes across all areas of the city. Biking the waterfront and our bridges are a great way to see the local scene. But like you we sleep in on the weekends, and we all go to the upstairs for bed by the time you are home from your evening out on the town.
