As you step through the front door, you'll find yourself in a nice-sized entryway where you'll immediately want to kick off your shoes and make yourself at home.brbrOn the left side of the entry, you'll find two doors leading to the first of the home's bedrooms. The first of these is a long, open space, featuring a queen-sized bed, a bench, its own en suite bathroom and a window that looks over the entry-side courtyard. The cheerful bathroom features lovely yellow tile work, a step-in shower and a large single vanity. This is our family's beach house, purchased just a couple of years ago after we fell in love with its location. It was too good to keep to ourselves! With three bedrooms and two baths over two levels, Sand Dollar Escape has a perfect setup for family reunions, couples' getaways, and other groups of eight—or up to ten with an air mattress (provided). brbrThe master suite (the only bedroom on the lower level) has a king-size bed and a full ensuite bath with a tub/shower combo. The master bath also serves the living spaces and is accessed from the hallway, as well. brbrUpstairs, two more bedrooms share a bath (shower/tub combo) with hallway access. One bedroom has another king-size bed and the other two full-size beds. On a multi-family getaway, adults can claim the king bedrooms while the kids have a sleepover in the full-size bedroom (sleeps four). Bonus: This room has a big TV with streaming capability. brbrThe kitchen, living and dining areas are open, roomy, and elegantly furnished—great for spending time together after being apart for too long. Cathedral ceilings open to the upstairs landing outside the bedrooms, giving the whole house an expansive feel. brbrIn the kitchen, we stocked the cabinets for serious cooking, and the dining table seats eight to ten, so you can sit down to a week's worth of feasts together. Stock up on ingredients at the markets in Cannon Beach or Manzanita; Seaside has a Safeway for a larger selection, as well as fresh seafood markets! Or catch your own dinner with the clamming tube and crab pot (licenses required in Oregon) at one of the coastal piers. After dinner, sit down to a board game in the game nook, or take one last walk to the beach. During the summer months we have a beach side fire pit with beach chairs that we create early summer. brArch Cape is special in that you can take a short walk south on the beach to Arch Cape creek which meets the ocean, or you can walk an approximate mile north to amazing Hug Point State Park with it beautiful waterfall and sandstone caves. A five-minute drive takes you into Cannon Beach with its unique shops, art galleries and the famous Haystack Rock. Five miles to the south of Capehaven is Oswald State Park, a popular surfing spot, and few more miles south of the park is the quaint beach town of Manzanita. brbrThis tastefully decorated home has four decks - three are covered (one with a propane barbeque) the two west front decks have an outstanding ocean view. Inside, you'll find two large bunk beds, where four kids can tuck in for late-night recaps of the day's beach fun or quiet time reading before bed. Each bunk space even has its own light, for kiddos who don't love the dark.brbrBeyond the bunk room, you'll come to the first beautiful bathroom, which features a large vanity and a step-in shower. Back in the hallway just beyond the bathroom is the home's laundry area, which holds a full-sized stackable washer and dryer, along with a good-sized surface for folding fresh clothes.brbrThe last room along the left side of the hallway is a primary suite with a king-sized bed, east-facing windows that allow in lots of natural light, a closet where you can tuck your things away and a bathroom holding another large vanity and beautifully finished step-in shower. The south end of the beach offers fascinating up-close views of tidal pools and a vast sandy beach at low tide. The property is regularly visited by Roosevelt elk, black-tailed deer, ground squirrels, coyotes, and other neighbors. The ocean view from the living room window allows careful watchers to see the spouts during whale migration. At night the stars shine brightly, undimmed by city lights, and the roar of the ocean calms the spirit.brbrThe house comfortably sleeps 4 . There is a queen bed and a trundle bed( Twin). The Trundle bed is best for children and teenagers.
