Appalachian State University is less than 20 minutes away, so book a stay with a view for those home football games.brbrEnjoy skiing at Beech, Sugar Mountain and Appalachian Ski Mountain in Boone. Tweetsie Railroad is about 20 minutes away as well as shopping in Blowing Rock. Otter Falls is just around the corner which offers at nice hike down to the falls. The basement is simply FANTASTIC for kids!!!**brbrThis beautiful log home sits at 3900' and has 180 degree views of Grandfather Mountain and the surrounding area. Ample parking for 5-6 cars is provided in the flat, gravel parking lot. A short staircase raises to the main level with 8 steps. An even shorter staircase is on the left side of the home gives even easier access once you are there. Inside, you'll find a kitchen with granite counters, stainless steel appliances, and a bar with seating for four. The custom built dining table comfortably holds eight. The open great room has a gas log fireplace, leather seating, and a TV with an Amazon Firestick. Fiber internet through Skybest means you'll never have any trouble streaming your favourite movies. The queen suite has deck access, a ceiling fan, TV, and a private bath with a tiled tub/shower combo. Also on the main level are the laundry center off of the kitchen and a half bath.brbrUpstairs is a reading nook in the loft. There are two bedrooms with a shared full bath in the hallway. Each bedroom has a queen bed and a ceiling fan. The bathroom has a tub/shower combo. All of the bathrooms in the home have heated floors.brbrDownstairs is a den with a second TV and Amazon Firestick, seating, and a new pool table.
