Welcome to the Scotch Bonnet in Ocean Isle Beach. Named after the State Shell of North Carolina (with a nod to our Scottish ancestry), this stylish four-bedroom home is a wonderful spot to be able to access the beach, tie your boat to the dock to access the Waterway, or just go fishing and crabbing right outside your door. An outdoor bar area lets you enjoy the sun setting while unwinding at the canal. brbrYou will arrive to find towels and linens provided in each room with the beds already made for you by our cleaning crew (a service that would cost more than $300 if arranged through a private company), all of which is included in the cleaning fee. There are two bedrooms on each floor, with the bedrooms on each floor sharing a Jack and Jill style shiplap paneled bathroom. The first floor has two bedrooms, one with a king bed and the second with two extra-long (XL) twin beds. The second floor has one bedroom with a king bed and another with two double beds. brbrThe kitchen is well appointed and provides ample workspace for meal preparation. A Traeger Pro Series grill is located outside by the bar area. The kitchen table can be expanded or contracted with an insert to accommodate the appropriate number of people. This main room opens out to a full-size covered deck overlooking the canal, which can accommodate outdoor dining.brbrBeach toys, a cornhole board, and other supplies are located in an outdoor storage closet. Wi-fi coverage extends out to the dock via an extended Wi-fi network. An outdoor shower is located downstairs to rinse off after a salty day at the beach. Bring your boat and tie up at the dock! A discreet and covered Magma fish cleaning station is installed on the dock. A water supply is available at the walkway to the dock with a hose that will extend to the end of the dock. A large outdoor icemaker is running 24-7 so you can keep your beach or boat cooler iced down.brbrWe owned a five-bedroom, five-bathroom home on the other end of the island and rented that out as a five-star property until late 2024. We decided that for us, a home on the water is just better. We sold that house and bought the Scotch Bonnet, and we are so happy that we did! We absolutely love this house and hope that you will choose to be our guest!

Indoor dining table, bar stools and outdoor dining table can accommodate all guests. The den is connected to the kitchen and features a large flat screen and speakers that will connect to your phone to listen to music. Laundry room and half bath are also on this floor. Large deck off of the den features rocking chairs, a lounge area and dining complete with bistro lighting. One Master bedroom on this floor with private bathroom and tile shower. brbrFirst floor features 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a den, mini bar and a porch overlooking the sound with lounge furniture. brbrUnderneath the house has plenty of space to hang out, grill and relax. There are hammocks, bikes, games, picnic table, seating, bar area and bistro lighting. There is a dock off of the back of the house that goes straight into the sound. Kayaks and paddle boards are available for use and are easy to get in the water off the dock. The dock is also great for fishing! brbrIncluded with the rental is use of our golf cart as well as membership to the beach front pool club. The beach is a short walk from the house and there are lots of beach toys/supplies in the garage - chairs, wagons, boogie boards etc. brbrPeak season (memorial day to Labor day) we rent Sunday to Sunday full weeks only. During the off season we will rent with a 3 night minimum. brbrLinens can be added onto the rental for an additional fee.brbrOcean Isle Beach has wonderful dining and entertainment including lots of activities for kids. We do undergo a quarterly pest control but unfortunately, they do make their way inside on occasion, especially in the summer or after it rains. But this is normal and as you can see, we do keep our home extremely clean but in the south these things do just happen from time to time.brbrTRASH- trash pick-up is Wednesday morning. Depending on when you stay there may be a large amount of trash in trash can outside. We swing by Tuesday night to place next to driveway or sometimes we will place next to road on Monday. Trash is out of our control- some guests use more than others, but regardless, it will be kept off to the side (tidy) until it can be placed at the road.

If dates are accidentally made for any other days, they will be revised and have to be resubmitted for June, July and August for Saturday to Saturday. The washer and dryer are in a spacious laundry room under the house. Under the house is where you will also find a shower, table and chairs with a large smart TV, and an extra full size side by side refrigerator. Furnished decks provide the perfect place to hang out and relax, and enjoy stunning sunrises and sunsets! We have a private access walkway to the beach, with a spacious deck there , as well as deck space on street side of the house. New pool has been installed in 2026, and it's heated, ready to use! Parking for 4-5 depending on size of vehicle. Updates include new siding, new windows and doors, new heat and AC, new refrigerators, and new rockers and tables/chairs. The table and chairs on the deck provides an additional eating space, it's so nice to eat by the ocean! No pets allowed.
