The Inn was wonderful! Each room beautifully decorated and cozy; the tile work and decor of each bathroom so we'll done and everything was so clean! The attention to detail anticipated and exceeded our every need. The kitchen was fully stocked and beyond. Lindy was quickly responsive to our every question. I got so many pats on the back from my family members for finding this lovely accommodation for our holiday gathering! The nearby hiking was wonderful and downtown Marshall is charming! We hope to stay again!

We rented the whole inn for our bridal party, and actually changed our wedding date so that we could rent this accommodation. I don't have words for what a wonderful stay everyone had at your beautiful inn. This group started as mostly strangers to each other, and by the end everyone was discussing coming back yearly and staying for a full week as a reunion and vacation! The porch was incredible, the kitchen was perfect, the location is to die for, and each of the rooms was beautiful! Thank you for the now depleted stock of coffee, for the care you've taken to preserve the character of the building, and for all the thoughtful touches to make staying there comfortable. We can't wait to come again!

The beautiful historic house was spacious and inviting for our 15 family members. It was a treat to be able to walk downtown, especially for visits to the coffee shops and restaurants. Kitchen is small for cooking for large groups, but having a big pantry was a plus. The family spent many hours on the front porch. Lindy, the hostess, was very easy to work with and answered all questions quickly.

We hosted multiple couples at the Marshall Inn the weekend of our daughter's wedding at a nearby venue. The Marshall Inn exceeded our expectations in a number of ways.First, the rooms are configured in such a way that each of our guests, who did not previously know any of the other guests, had a unique balance of privacy and connectedness, enabling them to feel comfortable.Second, the living areas and wonderful front porch provided many opportunities to get to know each other and enjoy each other's company. Third, we put our family members right down the hill from The Marshall Inn at the Old Marshall Jail Hotel. They were easily able to walk up to join us for meals all weekend, and the well-appointed kitchen and abundant dining areas allowed us to host 20-25 total people for multiple meals. Finally, the proximity to the charming Main Street of Marshall was easily accessible and provided our guests with a lot to do during the breaks in the action of the wedding weekend.I recommend The Marshall Inn without and hesitation!

This historic property is a delightful find! Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for a large group, all are comfortable and well appointed, and truly fabulous touches throughout the property. Be sure to locate the original door bells (pre electric) and plan for plenty of time on the delightful front porch enjoying a coffee or evening drink overlooking downtown Marshall. Lindy was a super hostess, responsive and well-informed- it’s clear she is dedicated to making every guest feel special. We will definitely be back to this gorgeous property!

We loved the Marshall House Inn. The hosts thought of everything you might need. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Great place for a large group. The kitchen is well equipped. There is a ping pong table, fire pit and a room for games or a family movie night. The restaurants we visited were terrific. There is plenty of hiking in the area. It was the perfect place to chill out on the front porch with a view of the town.

Our 15 member extended family (including two small dogs!) found this property the perfect mix of large private spaces with still enough room on the porch and in the various living areas to gather as a group. The overlook of the town was beautiful, and there were just enough establishments within walking distance to keep it interesting while still feeling like we could make it to all of them! Beautiful drives in and out were the icing on the cake. Hosts were helpful and gracious, very highly recommend!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this historic inn in Marshall, NC. Our travel party included ages 2-70. There was plenty of space for everyone! The home was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and despite the home being historic, it had been updated nicely and included all modern amenities. The home owner/property manager was very accessible and check-in and check-out processes were very easy. The home is walking distance to downtown Marshall- a cute mountain town with a handful of restaurants, shops, and a brewery. We visited in the winter, so did not explore local hiking trails. Overall, we were very happy with this house and would stay again!
