Only 1/2 mile of good gravel road takes you right to Highway 19 with close access to the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Cherokee Indian Reservation. From there it's your choice - 4 miles to Maggie Valley; 4 miles to Water Rock Knob (highest point around with views of all the high mountain peaks; 4 miles to Black Camp Gap - where you will always see lots of Elk; 12 miles to Harrah's Casino; 15 miles to the Smoky Mountain National Park or 25 miles to Bryson City and the Great Smoky Mountain Railway.brbrFour-wheel drive or AWD is recommended to access the area from mid to late November and throughout winter months when there is snow or ice on the roads.
