*We offer plenty of Parking DO NOT PARK at the CHURCH they will tow your car! We are motorcycle friendly & we have room for car/Motorcycle trailer parking. Our street is a dead end now but there is lots of room to turn around. No extra long trailers.

*Please note that the garage is private access only. *We are not responsible for change in weather conditions. When it is snowing our cabin is easy access to Soco road and the community is plowed. Salt and a snow shovel is provided. We are a perfect cabin location during winter as we are about 15 minutes to Cataloochee Ski area and close enough to walk to Tube World off Soco Road! *Motorcycle riders attention : Regarding our location in Valley Creek Run neighborhood It is came to our attention that when there are a group of motorcyclist drive into the community, they tend to follow each other closely up our hill. We suggest that the group STOP at the bottom of the hill and send up your best riders to get their footing on the hill and how to make the turn as when you go up the hill it is very steep and you will need to make a left-hand turn on to Sunrise Ridge. If you’re following someone to close you may loose speed then loose control due to the fact that they are slowing down in front of you and your not prepared to slow down..

Please send up each rider one by one and once each rider enters the street then the next guest can go ahead up the hill and make the turn.

We want our guests to be familiar with the turn and be prepared so they’ll be comfortable knowing that keeping your distance is imperative as having somebody on your tail makes it a difficult situation and it can cause a accident.

Don’t forget if needed pull into the driveway up the hill on the right which is directly across from Sunrise Ridge again if needed and then turn your bike around and drive straight across the street to get onto Sunrise Ridge. These neighbors are very understanding.

I hope these suggestions help with your planning. Please let all of your motorcyclist be aware and put your plan together for your group.

Also, we do own the property on Serene Trail so you could park trailers at the end of the street if needed. Please park on the right side as our cabin is 1 block up. You will need a ride up to the cabin from there.

We hope you have a wonderful time.
Our best,
Laura Lee & Robert Lee Frazier

Overall we really enjoyed the stay and the host was responsive. The property had all the features for comfort and family relaxation. There were 6 adults in our party but two lived local and spent the nights at their own home. There were a few issues that had there not been a local resident would have been more impactful. When we arrived while searching for the overhead kitchen light we discovered the disposal was not working. After resetting the built in circuit breaker and freeing up the spinner all was good. The toaster needs to be replaced as the internal heating element is not burning evenly and anything we toasted was only half toasted but the local family member brought his toaster over to use. The kitchen was very well complimented however we were disappointed to learn there was no basic supply of aluminum foil or plastic wrap. Again, the local family member filled that void. Overall on a 5 point rating because of these issues we rate the property at a 4.7

It was a great cabin! Everything we needed to cook. The beds are comfy. Enjoyed the hot tub, billiard, and the train. We didn't use the fireplace but it's beautiful. Lots of cool deco. You have to be very careful when turning onto Sunset Ridge and coming out of it. Very tight turn on a really steep hill.Thank you for letting us enjoy the cabin! We had a blast!

This was my first booking with VRBO and I am so glad I picked this place. The house is beautiful and cozy. We didn’t stay long enough to take advantage of everything but we didn’t find ourselves not finding what we needed. The only thing I would note, the bed on the main level was too high for my wheelchair user. We were able to adapt and make things work.

This was our second vacation in the Bear Haven cabin, and we had yet another great time! The cabin is on three levels, so everyone had some privacy; yet there was enough room for us all to come together for meals and games, and the well-equipped kitchen was a joy to prepare meals in. The cabin is close enough to everything in Maggie Valley and Cherokee and Waynesville. Many thanks to Laura Lou and her hubby for allowing us to enjoy their home!

Clean, well kept, comfortable home. Great for our grandkids. They loved playing pool and being able to hangout in the game room. We enjoyed the Christmas decorations, too. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, etc. Great appliances. Everyone said their bed was comfortable. We came to Ski at Catalooche. It was a short drive to the slopes which was super nice. There also was a nice hottub for us to enjoy after a day on the slopes. We would rent this home again! Laura was wonderful to work with!

Very Nice Home, enjoyed our stay. Very comfortable, close to town, but felt like you were further out. Only issue we had in which we were extremely disappointed about and with all the stress from dealing with hurricane issues from home and work, we truly looking forward to, the hot tub was broken. We didn't know and went to check it out for later and it was only half full, and water was cool. Our reply to the issue was it had a small leak and they have a new one on order. For our trip, we knew we were not going to be able to do all the things we had planned because of the western NC damage, so were looking forward to a weekend to unwind. Which we did, but that was a perk we were looking forward too. We did have a nice time.

Very satisfied with the property and how it was equipped. Beautiful views and beautiful weather for the Floridian. The road access was all paved roads which was very important. Total of six adults and living area was comfortable and adequate. If you love TV ther are several large screens for your enjoyment

A beautiful place to stay in Maggie Valley. We had a riot zip lining, river rafting, horseback riding and checking out Cherokee. We also went over to Pigeon Forge to roam around and saw Dolly's Dinner Stampede. Wonderful time.

Great view, nice house, well-stocked. Unfortunately, there was a problem with the air conditioning the last couple of days that went unresolved. I emailed and then texted the owner. Response came about 12 hours later -- no problem, it was a holiday evening and they responded the next morning. They said they would try to get someone out to take a look at it. Never heard anything and no one came, so I texted them in the afternoon. No response. We were checking out the next day so I never went further. Had a couple of uncomfortable nights of sleep -- especially for those upstairs in the loft. But other than that it was a nice stay.

The house was very nice. Close to town with a beautiful view off the back deck and the owner was very nice and easy to contact. Plenty of comfortable beds and living space. However, access and parking are definitely not biker friendly. Maybe it was because of the intermittent rain when were there but getting up the steep road then navigating a sharp left turn followed by a lack of level paved driveway drop your kickstand proved treacherous. There was an area of gravel in front of the house that we chose for parking but we all know how gravel and motorcycles mix. It would have been easier access if there wasn’t a rift between the residents and the church about the through road in front of the house, which left only one way in or out. Overall, we only had one bike go down on the day we arrived due to wet roads and lack of familiarity with the area.
