You can reach the waterfront from any location (children will probably have fun with it) but there is a terraced walkway from the side of the house that leads directly to the water. Our home was custom built in 2021 with large family gatherings in mind. We can accommodate up to 10 adults (12 total), with ample indoor and outdoor common space for your group to enjoy, and 1GB WiFi accessible throughout the property.brbrInside the kitchen opens up to the dining room and living area with a gas fireplace, Smart HDTV and Bose Sound Bar. The kitchen is fully equipped for large Holiday gatherings, including all your cooking necessities and a gas range. The dining room table has seating for 10, with counter seating for 3 at the large island. There is a large pantry off the kitchen, as well as a 1/2 bathroom and laundry room with new washer and dryer.brbrThe Master Bedroom is located right off the living room, and has a separate bathroom and Smart HDTV. There are four additional bedrooms and two bathrooms located on the opposite side of the house, each with a Queen Bed, and one with an additional oversized, built-in bunkbed for the kiddos. brbrThe bonus room/play room is a great spot for the entire family to gather, no matter the age, with plenty of seating (including a large, comfy bean bag), games, toys, movies, and a SmartHDTV. The bonus room also includes a desk, a queen size murphy bed and a door for those who may need to check in before heading to the water. This room exits to the screened in porch, which is a perfect place to enjoy the sunrise or sunset while overlooking the lake.brbrOutside you will find a large dock with a new Weber Gas Grill, seating for 16 and 180 degree views of Lake Gaston. The backyard is grassy and flat with plenty of space to play games like Badminton or Cornhole, or to toast s'mores at night, and is an easy walk to a private dock where you will find kayaks, fishing poles, floats, and life jackets (including kids sizes) for your enjoyment on the water! The dock is located in a quiet cove with 10 ft of water, making it perfect for jumping and swimming, and has a SmartHDTV and plenty of seating to enjoy football in the Fall. brbrIf you choose to bring a boat or jetskis, there is plenty of space to tie to the side of the dock, and is ideal for tubing, wakeboarding, skiing and anything else you might do in a private cove with glassy water. We are only a short boat ride to many marinas and restaurants on the water.brbrWhile the lake is most frequented in the Summer, we have thoughtfully added amenities to make our home enjoyable all year long and hope you might consider the added serenity and privacy during the off-season! Our calendar is more flexible during this time, with both longer term stays (1+ month) and shorter minimum stays (2 nights) available. brbrCold(er) weather amenities include a gas fireplace in the living area, propane fire pit on the deck, real wood firepit in the back yard, HDTV on the dock (think outdoor football viewing while surrounded by water and Fall weather), and year-round wildlife viewing that we cannot take credit for but is a part of what makes our home so special.

Many new amenities and improvements added in off season(updated pictures to follow soon) 7 bedrooms - 1 king, 5 queen(one queen room includes futon, two queen rooms include rollaways) plus a room with 1 set of twin bunk beds. Sleeps 17 comfortably(No more than 17 allowed). Great view with luxurious living and a 13 x 28 private pool and jacuzzi located in the Cross Cut subdivision!!! Your vacation dreams will come true when you stay in this beautifully decorated spacious home off of the main lake. Watch the sunset on the lake from the pool or spa.brThe main level offers a large great room that includes the large family room, kitchen and dining area where you can visit with your friends and family in comfort. Enough seating indoors and outdoor for all 17 at meals. The great room has a cathedral ceiling, ceiling fans, recessed lights and french doors that lead out to the deck with a lovely view of the lake. The kitchen has a large island with a wet bar sink and 3 chair back bar stools. The kitchen is well equipped for all of your cooking, baking and entertaining needs. There are pots and pans of every size, multiple platters and serving bowls, and more than 30 place settings of dishes, glassware and utensils. Just about every piece of cooking equipment you may need. The dining area seats 8+ at the main table, plus an additional table that accommodates 4 , and a folding buffet table that seats 8 and don’t forget the 3bar stools along the kitchen island. The family area on this level has a sectional and chairs. A set of French doors open onto the deck, where there is also enough seating(put tables together)on the deck for everyone to enjoy dinner and watch the beautiful sunsets. Don’t forget to open the solar umbrellas at night for beautiful lights to enjoy. There is also a gas grill for cooking the fish you catch or barbecuing. The primary bedroom has French doors that open onto the deck and has a great view of the lake from the king size bed. It also contains a 32” smart tv and a walk in closet. The primary has on suite bath has a jetted tub and a separate shower. Another bedroom(queen) on this level has french doors to the deck with a beautiful view of the lake and a 32 TV/roku blue ray. The 3rd bedroom(queen) has 24 TV and dvd player and walk in closet. The rest of the first floor includes a checkers corner, one additional full bath and large utility room with washer and dryer & 2nd refrigerator/freezer complete this level. The lower level offers game room with ping pong, shuffle board, a poker table, darts, full-size game another large living area with 'comfy' seating, ceiling fans and 2 tables with chairs to enjoy board games, puzzles or card games. There is a 39 HD flat screen tv/dvd/, video games, a chest full of games(There are to many games to fit in the chest so some are located in bedroom closets), puzzles, playing cards and lots of books and magazines(If you don’t finish that book on your vacation feel free to take it with you!) A set of french doors open up to the patio area with additional seating areas with metal roofing to under side of deck to hang out and when it is raining and easy access to the pool. There is a “bonus” room located at the end of the hall of the living area that has a set of bunk beds, ceiling fan and a small tv that we call Dory’s room. Three more bedrooms (queen), two bedrooms with French doors that open onto the patio and two full baths complete the lower level.brFor your outdoor enjoyment there is a fenced in swimming pool with pool basketball goal and new thermo spa jacuzzi. There are four lounge chairs, tables and chairs, plus a sectional by the pool and tables and chairs. The pool will be open from the middle of May to the middle of October. You can also relax and enjoy the large cushioned hammock while you read or look at the lake. Then you can take a gentle stroll to the water to sun at the dock, fish or play at the shoreline. You may tie your boat to the dock or use the boat slip. However, the boat lift is not for the renters use. The home also offers 2 one man kayaks, 1 two man kayak and two paddle boards with life jackets for even more fun. Included are outdoor games like corn hole, bocce ball, ladder toss, frisbee toss, and more. There are floats for both the pool and the lake(there is a rope for some of the lake floats that allow you to float for days and enjoy the scenery). At night make sure to sit around and enjoy the fire pit (with grill option) and make some s’mores or hotdogs lakeside(We provide the wood). The home is located very close to the Lake Gaston Recreation Area with a beach roped off swimming and picnic tables. There is great fishing by the dam!brHome is approx 3645 sq ft. Kitchen include: new microwave, new large capacity Bosh dishwasher, range with warming area and bridge burner, plus a large oven, 2 refrigerators /freezer with ice maker. Fully stocked kitchen includes: blender, hand mixer, Keurig, (we even provide K-cups creamer sweeteners and sugar)regular coffee pot(coffee provided) expresso/ cappuccino maker, toaster oven, toaster, electric roaster, electric frying pan, electric griddle, large slow cooker, rice cooker, air fryer, 3 bin food warming station, pots and pan, bake ware, wine glasses, pasta bowls, lots of plates, glasses, mugs, plus lots of cooking and eating utensils. Whatever your first inclination, it's the right thing to do, because now it's your time...it's lake time! brbrAs pictured, the Chateau at Ferncliff has ample waterfront dining space with seating up to 14 people both inside or out. You'll find plenty of prep space and a fully equipped galley with all the expected tableware for a casual dining experience. A wet bar with seating between the living and kitchen areas will conveniently keep the beverages flowing without creating traffic issues in the kitchen. Massive deck space can seat many more. Multi-platform dock area is perfect for entertaining or lounging on a shady summer afternoon or enjoying an evening gathering with friends under the magic of a full moon and bistro lighting!brbrFor active group gatherings you will enjoy the idyllic 3.5 acre community park which includes a pavilion and a lush but perfectly trimmed field for soccer or team play. Ferncliff also offers approximately 2.5 miles of nicely paved roads for a smooth bicycle ride with family or friends or that morning run to start the day. If you'd like to begin your day on the water, jump in a kayak or try your hand at paddle boarding Both are provided, but we do advise you bring your own PFD, as we make no guarantee those available will fit. Fishing off the dock is fabulous!!brbrThe pictures speak for themselves, but to help you plan, here are some specifics about each bedroom and the linen situation. First, the linens; we want to make it clear that when you book your reservation, you will be charged separately for a linen package. We went this route for a bunch of reasons which basically distill into two buckets; A. Absolute confidence in sanitation in a current/post COVID world and, B. Absolute confidence in the rotation of sanitized linens between guests. You do not need to bring sheets, pillow cases, bath towels, hand towels or washcloths. The sheets and pillow cases come sealed from a company that does the laundry off site where the water is heated to 190 degrees during the wash cycle. Everything is sterilized. The sheets and pillow cases will be packaged and placed at the foot of each bed. Towels and the rest of the linens are folded & packaged alongside and have been processed in the same sanitary fashion. So, you do not need to bring any linens and you can be 100% sure that your linens are sanitized and fresh.brbrSecondly, now the bedrooms... :)brbrBedroom 1 - Master Bedroom (King Bed) - The master sits high aloft the rest of the house and has its own private sitting area tastefully adorned with 2 reading chairs. There is a minimalist approach to the décor of the home which is clearly seen in the master. This was to cultivate an illusion of space beyond the actual square footage. You will be able to stretch out for morning yoga without feeling encroached by furniture or walls, or you can lie in the bed and view the lake unencumbered by excessive furnishings or stream a movie on the Smart TV provided for your enjoyment. Begin each day in a clean, spacious, clutter free environment and each morning with the welcoming waters of beautiful Lake Gaston!brbrBedrooms 2 & 3 - Bedrooms on Main (Queen Beds) - There are two bedrooms on the main level each one having a queen bed. These bedrooms are smartly up-fitted with a lamp on each side of the bed that has a wireless charger on the platform.
