We timed our walks with two young kids: 2 minutes and 45 seconds from our driveway to the sand! You'll walk about the same distance to launch your kayak or paddle board at the public access point on the bay. Great restaurants like Britts Donuts and all the fun of the Carolina Beach Boardwalk are only 0.7 miles away. brbr2. The views are fantastic.brbrEnjoy a morning cup of coffee or evening sunset as you watch the boats sail past from one of our massive decks that overlook the water. Head out to the cozy deck facing the ocean and listen to the waves, or escape to the crow's nest above the top floor and take in a full view of the ocean and Carolina Beach.brbr3. You'll have no trouble parking.brbrWhen you drive up, you'll find 100 feet of private parking in the carport and driveway—enough for 5-6 cars depending on what you drive. Our condo is newly renovated and ready for the summer season! We kept our beachy colors but did significant upgrades to kitchen, living area, and bathrooms. brThis bright, colorful and decidedly beachy oceanfront condo is perfect for a family vacation or last-minute beach trip! Flat screen TV's in the living room and both bedrooms, as well as high speed, secure internet (not shared with the rest of the building). The Ocean Front master bedroom has a king-sized bed with a new Beautyrest mattress, private full bath with rainwater shower and detachable hand-held wand, and access to the oceanfront balcony. There are 2 twin beds In the street-facing second bedroom with access to the full hall bathroom with tub/shower. These can also be converted to a king bed with a converter kit provided. There is also a queen sleeper sofa with upgraded Memory Foam mattress in the living room should you need the extra bed space. The oceanfront balcony offers breathtaking views (make sure to catch at least one sunrise on your stay). The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for a week at the beach (and all appliances are brand new), with a Ninja Mega-Kitchen System blender, Keurig coffee maker, toaster, microwave, and J. A. Henckels kitchen cutlery. But, if you'd rather not cook, there are loads of restaurants really close by. Some of our favorites are Kate's Pancake House, Havana's, Michaelangelo's Pizza, Pop's Diner, and of course, the famous Britt's Donuts. And the Veggie Wagon (just across US 421) is a real treat, offering farm-fresh veggies, freshly baked baguettes, deli sandwiches, take-and-bake pizza's, fruit smoothies, and a pretty good selection of beer and wine. brIn addition to a great time on the beach, you have access to bike rentals just two blocks away (one of our family's favorite activities is to bike down to Fort Fisher and catch the ferry to Southport). The Carolina Beach Greenway is accessible at the lake which is just across the street. Here you will find a nice walking, running, cycling, or skating trail, peddle boat rentals, and there are family movies every Sunday night.brTwo blocks away you will find the Carolina Beach Boardwalk, with shops, restaurants, Britt's Donuts and an amusement park. Thursday nights there are fireworks from the boardwalk. See them there, or enjoy them from the beach or the deck of the condo. brThe unit has spacious covered parking that can accommodate two larger sized vehicles or three smaller ones. We've been coming to Carolina Beach for over 20 years and have owned this unit since 2008. Within 2 blocks of the condo is Butts n Such, Fun Time Ice Cream, ocean front Tiki Bar and a convenient store. A mile away is CB Boardwalk, CB Lake, summer season rides, many restaurants, shops, pubs, and of course, Britt's donuts.
