Welcome to the UpCountry Guest House. This beautiful center hall colonial home and guest house was built at the turn of the century. Our Austrian grandfather bought it in the 1950's for our family to gather and to ski at Cranmore Mountain using the Alberg technique brought from Austria by Hannes Schneider in the late 1930's. Our grandparents and parents had been skiing in the area as far back as the 1920's at a ski tow in Jackson at the Spruce Mountain Lodge.
