The high elevation (6100 ft ASL) and arid climate make temps at Bridger Vista Lodge normally 10 degrees cooler than Bozeman and surrounding valleys. So even when lower elevations are sometimes hot in July and August, our log home is comfortable or even cool. Evening and overnight temps regularly drop into the 40s and 50s in summer. As a benefit, the high mountains to the west block the sun well before sunset which allows the mountain evening breeze to pleasantly cool our home. Even so, we have decided to install a high efficiency AC system to cool our home as necessary on the hottest days.brI am personally very sensitive to heat, so I understand the need for cooling air on the hottest days. To save energy, it is highly recommended to pull shades down in the afternoon or when out for the day and use fans for a little air movement. The space includes 1 bathroom with a washer and dryer. The backyard is fenced and shared with us. If you have questions before booking, let us know!
