Beautiful & spacious town home unit, located at the base of the mountain. Easy access to the slopes and village. have plenty of space for big families and large groups. Spacious and comfortable, our home is the perfect combination of luxury and convenience. Located right at the base of the mountain you are just a short hike to the ski area and only about a 1/4 mile walk to the Village where you can find shopping, restaurants, ice skating, night life, and other super fun activities. brbrOur home has it all: 4 spacious bedrooms (2 master bedrooms with California king beds, one queen bed bedroom, one bunk bed bedroom (twin over twin with a trundle and a sofa bed) , 4 1/2 bath (being 3 full bathrooms and one half bathroom), 2 living room areas, a gourmet kitchen with high end appliances (professional 6-burner Wolff stove, large Sub-zero refrigerator), plenty of counter space and a large island with seats for 3 people in an open floor-plan. The kitchen's two-way fireplace overlooks the back porch with a large grill and private hot tub.brThe other fire place in the living room is the perfect place to relax after a great day outdoors. brOur dinning table sits 10 people comfortably and there is a game table on the side of the kitchen area with 4 extra seats plus the 3 tall bar stools at the kitchen counter. We have hosted dinners for 17 seated guests. brbrSmall children - We have 2 pack & plays if you need crib type beds for your baby/toddler - located in the guest room closet upstairs.brbrOther things - every room is equipped with extra pillows, blankets and humidifiers. Every bathroom is equipped with hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, soap and extra tooth brush/paste.brbrHigh efficiency washer and dryer equipped with clothe detergent, softener and dryer sheets for you to use.brbrThe lower level room has a spacious living area with a sofa bed. It makes a great space for kids or in-laws and super fun for games. brbrSleeping arrangements: 3 bedrooms upper floor and 1 bedroom bottom floor. brBedroom 1: King bed suite on the top level;brBedroom 2: king bed suite on the top level;brBedroom 3: queen bed on the top level (the bathroom that serves this bedroom is on the hallway of top level);brBedroom 4: twin over twin bunk bed with trundle twin bed plus queen bed sleeper sofa on the downstairs bottom level living area.brbrSleeps up to 11 guests comfortably.brbrAll bedroom closets are equipped with plenty extra high quality blankets and pillows. All bathrooms are equipped with bathroom supplies plus hair dryer and plenty extra high quality towels.brKitchen is equipped with seasoning of all kinds, detergent, trash bags, dish soaps, tissues, etc. brWe take cleaning very seriously - the property is cleaned and disinfected before guests check in with products proven to eliminate viruses & bacterias. brbrThe properties at Base Camp are modified ski in/ski out. There is ski access via a well maintained short path (and some stairs) at the end of the cul-de-sac (out and behind our complex) which winds through the woods and connects you to the “Corridor” that will take you to the gondola and connect you through the slopes. To ski back in, from the top of Winter Park Mountain get onto Mary Jane trail to connect to corridor. Under the bridge, it will be the first exit/stop. If you prefer, there is also a shuttle stop close by available for a quick ride to the base area. brbrIf you have trouble getting a car at the airport there is a new ride share called AVAIL that we use when we fly in and out of Denver. The pick up spot is just a short walk away, to the right of our complex in front of Ski-Broker rentals.brbrParking: 1 vehicle can be parked in the covered garage and one additional vehicle can be parked in the driveway. brAll other vehicles must be parked offsite. Free parking along Winter Park Drive right out of Iron Horse and at the parking lot off of Hwy 40 as you enter the resort. brbrWe thought of every detail to make your vacation as relaxing as possible. You can also take it to the Coca-Cola tubing hill.brbrFRASER brJust another 2 miles past Winter Park is the town of Fraser with a larger grocery store, beautiful parks, a tubing hill, a rodeo during the summer, a public library, the train station, and some more shops and great restaurants. There are some beautiful mountain golf courses (Pole Creek Golf Course and Grand Elk are our favorites) just 20 minutes away as well as Snow Mountain Ranch with an indoor swimming pool, roller skating, ping pong and pool and table hockey, indoor and outdoor basketball courts, outdoor miniature golf, craft activities, ice skating, tubing, and much more.

The source of the heat is unclear (we've researched it with the HOA board). We installed windows that all open (five total), as does the back door. We installed a ceiling fan in the bedroom and portable fan. When we stay, we keep at least one window open all night, summer or winter, even in subzero weather (and we love the mountain air). Fortunately, nights are cool in the winter and summer at 9,200 feet. If you are uncomfortable having windows open, you may be unhappy in our unit.br* Because the unit is ground level near the driveway, you may hear buses or snow-removal equipment when they are operating. The snow-removal machines start early in the morning and beep while backing up (although only on days with new snow).brbrIron Horse is a great place, and we book fully during the high seasons, with many happy repeat guests. We want you to be aware of these quirks of Iron Horse so that you can decide for yourself whether it's the right place for you.brbrTHE RESORT:brThe Iron Horse is located at the base of the mountain between the Winter Park and Mary Jane sides of the ski area. We're a short walk or shuttle bus ride to the main base area, which features many shops and restaurants. Be sure to visit Vertical Bistro & Tap, the best full-service restaurant in the area. Say hi to the owner, Tim Hubbard, a longtime friend (he's the guy in the photo at the top of a chute on a powder day).brbrThe Iron Horse has a hot tub onsite, an indoor/outdoor heated pool, and a steam room, with luxury locker rooms included for your use. There's also a fully outfitted exercise room with weights and cardio machines.brbrTHE SKIING:brWinter Park is the third largest ski resort in Colorado and a local's favorite. It's known internationally as a mountain for serious skiers, with plenty of good runs for beginners and novices too (generally the steeper, bumpier terrain is on the Mary Jane side and the blue-green cruisers are on the Winter Park side). There is a massive terrain park with half pipe, rails and jumps. There are also separate beginner and intermediate terrain parks. You can rent equipment onsite at Ski Depot, just across the drive from the condo.brbrNote that we will withhold $100 from the damage deposit for each missing parking pass (currently there is a main pass and a 2nd pass for less-busy periods).
