As long-time locals (thirty plus years), we are always available to assist with your stay, ensuring a seamless and memorable Tahoe experience from booking to check-out. Whether you're here for adventure, relaxation, or a bit of both, we're committed to making your time in Tahoe truly special.brbrEl Dorado County | VHR22-0426 | TOT #2061 | Max Occupancy is 6 - AT ALL TIMES | 2 Parking Spaces. Parking on the street is strictly prohibited. All vehicles must be parked in the driveway and/or garage at all times. County quiet hours are 10 PM - 8 AM. Strict enforcement of occupancy during quiet hours.brbrCounty RulesbrAs part of the Vacation Home Rental Permit for this home, the county asks that we share the important rules and regulations with you. We appreciate your cooperation in following the guidelines listed below, also included in your signed Vacation Rental Agreement.brbrMaximum Occupancy: There shall be no gatherings, events, weddings or other group functions on the Premises with more people than the number of persons stated on the Agreement.brbrParking: Parking on the street is prohibited at all times. All cars, boats, and trailers must be parked in the garage and/or driveway.brbrQuiet Hours: Quiet hours are 10pm-8am, seven days a week. Per the County: No sound may be audible from the property line during quiet hours. Amplified sound (such as speakers) shall not be used outside or be audible from the parcel line of any short-term rental at any time. Outdoor hot tubs cannot be used during quite hours.brbrLights Out: All exterior lights must be turned off that are not needed for safety or other outdoor use to the extent that such other outdoor use is not an unreasonable nuisance to neighbors at night during the hours of 10pm and 7am, seven days a week.brbrRed Flag Warnings: Due to high risk of wildfire in our area, bonfires, charcoal barbecues, and wood-burning fire pits are always prohibited. On designated Red Flag Warning Days—when fire danger is especially severe due to dry conditions and high winds—all outdoor fires are prohibited, including gas grills and gas fire pits. These restrictions come directly from the North Tahoe Fire Protection District and must be followed for everyone's safety. It is each guest's responsibility to stay informed about Red Flag Warnings. They are announced on local news, radio, and social media, and you'll also see signs posted at fire stations throughout the area.brbrWinter Driving: Many highways, access roads, and driveways in the Tahoe area can become icy during the winter. For your safety, it's essential that between November 1st and April 30th your vehicle is winter-ready. Make sure brakes, windshield wipers, defroster, heater, and exhaust system are in top condition. Tires should be properly inflated with excellent tread, and you should always carry tire chains—even if you have an AWD/4WD vehicle. Double-check that your chains fit your tires and are in good working order. On many state highways and county roads, four-wheel drive and snow tires are required for safe travel.brPlease be prepared for winter conditions: dress appropriately, stay in bounds at ski resorts and if you get lost, remain in place.brbrGarbage & Bears: Please do not feed the bears. Black bears are very common in this area and, over time, many have become used to human food and trash. Because they no longer have a natural fear of people, you may see them during your spring, summer, or fall stay. Feeding bears is illegal, and leaving food outside, trash unsecured, or doors and windows unlocked can lead to serious property damage to both homes and vehicles. To help prevent this, all waste must be placed in bear-proof bins or dumpsters and the latches secured. Placer County sorts recycling from the waste for you at our materials recovery facilities.brbrOffice Holiday HoursbrThe TTVR office is closed on New Year's Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Therefore, we are unable to accommodate check-ins and check-outs on these dates. Thank you for understanding.

Large Home, Lovely Lake Views, Great Getaway

Tahoma, California, United States

One of the larger Tahoma houses for rent on VRBO - a great value completely remodeled in 2010!brbrOur vacation home offers lovely views of the lake from the downstairs bedrooms, main living spaces, and the wrap-around deck. The house is quite large (2400 sq. ft.) and doesn't just sleep 10 but actually accommodates that many *comfortably,* thanks to a modern kitchen with island, large living area, 2.5 baths, and off-street parking. We remodeled in 2010 using top-quality materials, all new appliances and fixtures, and brand new beds, but preserved details such as the monumental fieldstone fireplace and our family stained glass.brbrThe layout of the house is as follows:brbr1st floor: Two bedrooms each with two pairs of bunk beds and a double bed (so each is able to sleep five/six, nice for a single family or a bunch of tired skiers!), one full bath, a separate half bath, washer and dryer, wood storage, additional large closets and a spacious entryway, so plenty of room for boots, coats, and carriages.brbr2nd floor: Two more bedrooms, each with a double-size bed. Full bathroom. Lots of additional closets containing generous supplies. Fully outfitted gourmet kitchen with a large island, separate dining area including a very large dining table perfect for large family meals or big puzzles! Also on this level is a living space with very comfortable seating for 10, plus a big-screen TV with VCR, DVD. The living space leads to a huge wrap-around deck with marvelous views of mountains and lake.brAll rooms have closets, so no shortage of storage.brbrOutside: From the front door, a covered entryway leading to a path to the stairs to the off-street parking. From the back door a small gravel path leading to a small quiet patio overlooking the lake. Lots of trees all around and only a couple of other houses in sight.brbrWe offer high speed internet and get great mobile phone reception so no need to be out of touch...unless you want to be!brbrA short walk up the hill and you'll find yourself in the Desolation Wilderness, a National Forest that goes on forever. This means wonderful hiking, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and mountain biking is available without having to get in a car! If you're looking at this posting then we probably don't have to tell you that Tahoma is near some of Tahoe's best skiing--Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows are less than half an hour away, and Homewood, one of the West Shore's best kept secrets, is literally right next door--and outdoor activities in all seasons. Two wonderful state parks are just a bit further down Highway 89 (Sugar Pine Point and DL Bliss), both offering camping, beaches, wildlife, hiking, cross country skiing, sledding, snowshoeing, etc. It's just 15 minutes to Tahoe City, with all it offers, too, and there are several really excellent shops and restaurants even nearer than that.brbrAny other issues We want to make sure your stay is comfortable, so please let us know!brbrKeywords: lake view, large home, remodeled, access to hiking and mountain bikingbrbrVHR Permit Number - 072569brTransient Occupancy Tax Number - T63641brNumber of bedrooms - 4 brMaximum occupancy per the county - 8brQuiet hours must be observed between 10 PM and 8 AM.brOccupancy is limited during 10 PM and 8 AM.

Expansive decks made from Brazilian hardwood invite you to relax with morning coffee or sunset wine, complete with glass railings that maximize those striking lake views.
