We followed the directions and covered all furniture with blankets where our pet could sit. The house was in very clean condition, so I understand why this was requested. There was however slight damage from previous pets , which I documented upon arrival. The vanity in the bathroom door panel is loose, other than that the house is in excelent shape. The Bear fence is a little off putting.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: What a wonderful little cabin in Tahoma! We had a fantastic stay here. Despite its small size, the cabin is very spacious - bonus! It's both thoughtfully decorated and cozy, has a well-appointed kitchen, spacious, fenced back yard with nice deck, and offers super convenient access to the lake, hiking trails, bike trails, etc.. The locally-owened cafes and quaint grocery shops are perfect for any extra needs while staying here - the West Shore Market and Deli is our favorite go-to - great food, local gifts, select groceries, coffee, pastry and ice-cream bar, flatbreads, etc.. We love Tahoe's west shore, and are already looking forward to coming back next year ... we highly recommend this quaint cabin and location!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My daughter, granddaughter & myself have stayed here at least 6 times now & we always want to come back. The house is always very clean & we love the back deck & backyard. The only thing we wish we could change is the rain shower. We hate always having to try & keep our hair dry when we don’t want it washed & it’s extremely difficult to rinse soap off your body. A nice hand-held shower would be greatly appreciated! Other than that we love the little house & the location is the best!

Amazing neighborhood, clean air, cute indoor cabin feel with bungalow exterior looks and beautiful outside lighting. Sizeable backyard. Included all the bare essentials including nearby bear activity. Took a little to get used to the bear guard/fence but is simple and intuitive. A little bear safety education goes a long way! Will return!

Wife and I stayed for a week in early October. The property was clean, easily accessible, and equipped as described. Heads up on the electric wiring for bears - the black slider switch on the left cuts the power completely, with no way to restore power once you're inside. With the black slider switch on, you can access the white buttons on the other side of the front door (on the right outside; on the left inside) to turn on/off the system from inside or outside.

Cabin was very well stocked & loved the big tub! We like to take our two dogs & it worked well. Only suggestion is to improve backyard to have it totally fenced in … fence is in need of repair in several places. Quiet neighborhood for a peaceful visit.

This was a sweet property! It was well supplied for our two night stay. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need. Everything was clean, bathroom was beautiful. Plenty of space for our backpacks, hiking gear and extra boots in the main room. Main bedroom was perfect for a couple! And the pull out couch works if you don't mind a pull out couch to fit an extra little kid or two. The information about the bear wires was initially intimidating, but really no big deal. Just a button and some bungees. Glad to feel safe in a bear area! The messaging and additional forms I had to sign via email were odd. I've never had additional rental forms to sign with VRBO. Once again, no big deal, it was just an additional step and multiple emails from the rental company. Location was excellent. We walked to the two restaurants down the street. Burgers and fries at the burger window were AMAZING! We walked to our hikes, easy to access the trail that leads right through the campground. If I came again I would probably drive to the trailheads instead of walking. Highly recommend this location for cleanliness, initial supplies, detailed stay instructions, location.
