The Hansel and Gretelcottage is located on 5 private acres just a few blocks from Lake Tahoe. During the winter enjoy its close proximity to world renown Ski resorts including Alpine Meadows, Squaw Valley, or go down the street to the family style resort of Homewood Ski Resort which is across the street from Lake Tahoe. During the summer enjoy unlimited hiking including right off the property to the US Forest Service Land which surrounds the property on 3 sides. The Tahoe Rim trail is accessible just a short walk away. Walk down the street to the private homeowners beach, Tahoe Park Beach. Expansive beach with two piers and gorgeous lawns, boccie ball courts, horseshoes, playground, paddle board rental and more. The homeowners beach is adjacent to Sunnyside Restaurant where you can enjoy a refreshing cocktail out on the deck and even rent boats and jet skis. 3 miles away is Tahoe City, a quaint town with local stores and a variety of restaurants, bars, grocery stores etc. The 5 person Hot tub is a nice way to relax both during the winter and summer. Bears that enter a residence, garage, or vehicle are subject to euthanasia by the Department of Fish & Game. Please know that it is against State Law to leave any type of trash or wildlife attractant unattended. Therefore, all trash and recycling must always be securely placed inside the locked dumpster (lock code is 3141). Overflow garbage and recycling must be taken off-site by the Guests and never left in a garage, vehicle, near a door or window, or any other unsecured outdoor location. Guests assume financial responsibility for all violations of the law. Local and State fines for improper storage and/or disposal range between $1,500 and $5,000 per occurrence. The cabin located on Lake Tahoe's famous West Shore in the Sunnyside area and up against the Kent Nat. forest. And our property HOA has our own private beach (700'). The cabin looks over the forest which makes it very private as there are no homes in the back, only the forest. The road in front has very light traffic and the whole neighborhood is very peaceful. Parking for 4 to 5 cars and full snow removal is automatically done in the winter. You can walk to our private beach which has benches, picnic tables, bar be cues, play ground, horseshoes, basketball & volleyball all on Lake Tahoe. Your can also walk to the famous Sunnyside Resort Which is next to our property.br brThere two bedrooms and one bathroom downstairs and each has a queen-size bed. There is a fireplace in the living room/family room and wood is provided. Upstairs there is a bathroom and two bedrooms. One bedroom has a double bed. The other bedroom has a double bed and two single beds. The cabin can sleep up to 10. There is a full kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, and everything else that makes up a modern kitchen. One half of my rental business comes from past renters. brbrPlease not that June, July, August and the last half of December require a one week rental period.
