Quiet hours are from 10pm - 9am every day. After 10pm noise needs to be under 40 dB which is library quiet. This means that we do not permit any congregating outside (even in the hot tub) after 10pm. If the neighbors call the Sheriff, you can be fined up to $1,000! This is no laughing matter and we’d hate for you to get a $1,000 fine. If the owners are fined separately, that cost will be passed on to the guests renting the home.brbr • Absolutely NO SMOKING on the property. If you are a smoker, we ask that you take a walk and smoke. Our neighbors are very strict on this and will report smoking. Please let others enjoy the beauty and smell of the outdoors, not of your cigarettes or cigars.brbr • If you have dogs, you must pick up their waste and dispose of it in a plastic bag. You’ll need to move your cars so that the plows can access and clear the driveway (which takes less than 5 minutes once cars are out of the way). brbrThere are a few steps that lead up from the parking pad to the front entry door. During winter storms, the front door can be blocked with snow that’s shed from the roof. It’s generally best to enter the home through the attached garage. We do our best to ensure reasonable access to the property, but depending on the timing of your arrival (if during or immediately following a storm), there maybe berms piled up in front of the garage doors. There will be no consideration afforded for difficult travel due to winter weather condition. We love and respect them, and everyone must accept responsibility for keeping them alive and the property damage-free. The Lake Tahoe Community is highly sensitive about the responsible disposal of trash and any type of wildlife attractant(s). Local residents routinely report violators to the local Sheriff’s Department, without warning. Bears that enter a residence, garage, or vehicle are subject to euthanasia by the Department of Fish & Game. Please know that it is against State Law to leave any type of trash or wildlife attractant unattended. Therefore, all trash and recycling must always be securely placed inside a locked metal container (dumpster with a combination lock). Overflow garbage and recycling must be taken off-site by the Guests and never left in a garage, vehicle, near a door or window, or any other unsecured outdoor location. Guests assume financial responsibility for all violations of the law. Local and State fines for improper storage and/or disposal range between $1,500 and $5,000 per occurrence. In addition, should a violation of this policy occur, your reservation will be immediately terminated, you will forfeit all fees paid, and the Property Owners will be entitled to reimbursement by the Guests for loss of revenue due to revocation of their Short Term Rental Permit.brbr08.
