With 3 spacious bedrooms (Queen size beds) and two full bathrooms, this home is a very comfortable size for 6 adult guests + 2 children. Our rental allows up to 8 guests but since we only have 3 queen beds, we provide 2 twin blow up beds for 2 additional guests, if desired. Two bedrooms are located upstairs and one bedroom is on the main level. brbrbrOne of the upstairs bedrooms has a dedicated workspace. The popular Firesign Cafe and charming West Shore Market are just a stroll from our cabin. If you desire lakefront dining, check out the renown Sunnyside Restaurant next to the Market. Close by there is a wonderful bike trail to ride to Tahoe City and the Truckee River or south to explore other areas.brbr**OTHER THINGS TO NOTE**brbrSECURITY CAMERA-brWe have a motion detected video/audio security camera on the front exterior of the property. The camera is focused on the entryway and driveway for security, snow build up and bear monitoring purposes. brbrOUR NEIGHBORS-brTahoe is a place designed for quiet relaxation and tranquility. We follow all rules and regulations from Placer County, which means no outside noise from 9pm to 8am. This will be monitored by the County Code Enforcement and sadly means no one can be outside on the decks past 9pm or there will be a severe fine :( This cabin is in a residential area and we expect all of our guests to RESPECT our neighbors.brbrOUR BEAR FRIENDS-brBear sighting and break-ins are common. They love to find a tasty snack anywhere that they can, including cars! We have electric bear wires on the perimeter of the house to deter bear visits. Details to prevent bear activity and how to turn off the wire system will be provided with your Welcome letter.brbrWEATHER: - No refunds for weather/natural disasters/power outages/other things that are beyond our control. The summer and fall are in the fire season. In the event of bad air quality outside due to fires that are not a threat to the general area, our cancellation policy still stands. Please keep this in mind before booking during fire season and purchase travel insurance for coverage if desired. brbrWINTER SNOW SEASON-brDuring the winter snow season, the West Shore of Lake Tahoe can see a lot of snow! 4-wheel drive vehicles are highly recommended. Our home is very comfortable, attractively furnished, more than fully equipped and accommodating for groups of family and friends. brbrBeautiful new wood floors on the main floor which has cathedral ceilings and includes our open living room, dining room and kitchen with center island. Both the living room fireplace and the dining room stove are wood burning.brDining room table seats 12 with more seating in the breakfast nook and at the kitchen island.brbrNew carpet throughout the rest of our home with 2 bedrooms on the main floor, each with queen beds and a beautifully remodeled bath upstairs with large walk in shower. On the lower level there are 2 full baths, 1 king, 1 queen and a bunk room with 2 single bed over double bed bunks. There are a couple of rollaway beds, queen aeromattress and pack’n play, high chair seat, baby monitor, stair gates for little ones. Laundry Room is on the lower floor as well. brbrOur home is fully equipped with linens, kitchen staples, all typical small appliances (including Instantpot, large Electric Frying Pan, Crockpot), paper products, bath products/hair dryers. WIFI throughout the house; TV/DVD in living room, upstairs bedroom and in the bunk room. brbrFirewood and snow removal are provided in winter. We plow in front in the winter so there is enough parking for about 4 cars on flat ground along with a single garage space. brbrThere are 2 furnished decks - large one in the fenced back yard (with tree house) and the balcony in front. There is a Weber gas barbecue. brbrWe are just outside of Tahoe City off of 89. It’s 10 minutes to Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows (Palisades) ski areas. Homewood Ski Area is south of us. There is a a sledding hill and ski hill at Granlibakken which is 5 minutes from here. brbrThe bike trails are 1 block from the house and tennis courts, park and playground just down the road. Many great beaches are found here, one in Tahoe City and several south of us. Meeks Bay is our family favorite. brbrTahoe City is a great lakeside town with lots of restaurants, shops, grocery stores, etc. Truckee is about 15 minutes from here - South Shore Casinos and Reno are about a 45 minute drive.
