Flyovers typically last 1 to 2 hours. Occasionally they last up to 6 hours and continue for an hour or two after darkness. These flyovers are sporadic; we have no way of knowing when they will occur. brbrIf you have noise cancelling headphones, we suggest you bring them just in case. brbrPlease realize that ALL homes along Admiralty Bay - and indeed much of the northern half of Whidbey - are subject to this.brbrMost of our guests have found it really interesting to get a close up view of these fantastic flying machines. A few have found them to annoying, especially after 10 pm (very rare). brbrIf this happens while you are staying at Ranvik Beach House we suggest one of two options:br1. Stay inside and wait it out. It isn't terribly loud inside. We have ear plugs each bedside table for guest use. These mute but don't eliminate the sound. br2. Hop in your car and enjoy some of the other wonderful spots on Whidbey for a few hours. brbrChances are that you will not experience this. However, if this would ruin your vacation, you should consider renting in some area other than Admiralty Bay / northern half of Whidbey Island.
